Funny to think this kind of attitude was almost unanimous among PL fans not so long ago.

Why is he so shit in Europe? I've seriously never have been impressed when I've seen him.

Is he one of the most overrated player ever?

There's already a massive Ibrahimovic thread.

He blows hot and cold more frequently than Rooney. I've never rated him.

He can't do shit against good defenses. And he calls himself one of the best in the world. Pillock! Fcuking hate that cnut!

He's great against relegation fodder, but rarely turns it on in the CL. Those against Arsenal were the only ones he's ever scored in knockout rounds.

Yup he's still lazy and vastly overrated. Some things never change.

Phenominal performance. Even without the goals he was very, very good.

It was a disgraceful performance apart from the brilliant free kick, the winning goal out of nothing, the MOTM award and the unmatched work rate he showed. Should be dropped for a few games.

Agree totally.
We need to "rest" him for at least 2 months. Replace him with a 19 year old and we'll be playing far better and scoring more goals.
This guy is holding us back I tell ya...

Which was pretty much what some posters (three in particular) were saying earlier this season..... couldn't wait to be negative about him. They're very very quiet now....

Congratulations United and Zlatan. He has given me more good football moments and memories than any other player. At 35 he is taking over the best and toughest league in the world. What an athlete!

Zlatan is very very similar to Cantona in many ways.. I guess we can say he is the second coming of Cantona..

Just goes to show what we can do and achieve when we have a world class striker leading the line. The last time being that one season of RVP.

This guy is just...phenomenal.

I predicted a 15 goal season for him and he's just blown that clean outta the water.

Certainly deserves a few iconic songs!

Still, he has to deliver a PL and inspire a generation of youth before he can lay claim to King Cantona's crown. He is doing the youth thing already, so if he can deliver a league title next year, he can rightfully claim the crown in my eyes.

Hopefully every other post on here won't be about resting him from now on. He's obviously a player who likes to play every game to keep his rhythm, and is trusted to take part of almost every minute we play. And it's fair to say it's working.

Would the Europa do it this season?

OoooAhhh Ibra, OoooAhhh Ibra

He's The Man! He lifted the team on his shoulders today when he was needed and you can see the way the rest of the players respond to him.

I don't like to talk about intangibles because they are hard to quantify but really he does bring something to the team that goes beyond his goals or contribution on the pitch. His confidence is infectious and his attitude must rub on the players around him.

He was immense today and to cap it off with two goals was brilliant.

what a performance by him. i hope he gets a break now and maybe even a few days of vacation because he looked completely fecked at the end
We have Bournemouth at home next week, so we should be able to beat them without him but I doubt he'd want that, he'll see that as a chance to bag a few more goals

Are you old enough to remember Cantona's aura and impact? It was so special, dramatic and inspiring. I still wear my polo t-shirst with my collar up!

It has to be one of the big 2: PL or EL!

He was even clearing the ball in our box as well, it was basically a one man monster of a performance.

Fingers crossed we get Champions league, I feel that's the stage he deserves.

This is the bit I love the most. Its so wonderful that he is bothered enough to also take on this responsibility.
