Wilshere's price?

Gibbs is further ahead than Rafael but you don't hear us suggesting he's worth £45M or hyping him up like the second coming. 'Av a word with yourselves.

Storey is such an obvious WUM. I don't think why you lot add fuel to the fire and actually bother arguing with him.

Pointless abuse with no actual content. No one's addressed why if Rafael is such a megastar he was dropped for the big game.

We went for height against city, worked well. Doesn't take away from rafaels immense talent and current level of play.

O'Shea was favoured for the derby match because of his height and his experience alongside a rookie centre back in Smalling.

Piss off pete you insufferable bore.

Yet he can't displace Clichy who my Arsenal supporting mates have been telling me is a liability these days.

So you dropped your megastar fullback to get height against City who started with Silva and Tevez. Way to go.

I'm surprised the mods let pete get away with it, he belongs on thesun website writing shit at the bottom of their articles along with the 1000's of other 12 year olds, he certainly doesn't belong here.

Can any mod please explain what it is they think pete contributes? Of all the other rival supporters on here no-one comes close to Pete and his insufferable drivel.

The question has been answered pete, you just chose to ignore responses and then repeatedly claim that nobody can answer you superb insight when in fact you're just dribbling a constant stream of runny crap. SAF opted for height and experience, something which paid off as O'Shea had a good game. This concept of rotation and team selection seams to be lost on you. You and Schoesy, actually - so you're in good company.

I used to quite enjoy his posts when he kept his wumming generally to a minimum but for the last couple of months he's done nothing but be a wum and it's so incredibly tedious.

My particular highlight was when he tried to claim a goalkeeper could not handle the ball if his body was in the box, regardless of where the ball was!

I told you guys, peterstorey and scholesy are the same posters, that's why they post they way they post, and maybe they both share the same reason why they're still here. God knows what that reason is, though.

You drop Berbatov in big games because your midfield is so crap you have to supplement it. You dropped Rafael against City not because he was up against Giants like Silva and Tevez but because he's defensively suspect (two pens v Wolves and Blackpool but got out of jail).

That's my point, he's just spent 3 months ruining threads and being a complete twat, if the mods think that makes a good forum then more fool them.

I've stuck up for little Jack in this thread above Fletch but this gimp will say fecking anything to wind up United fans on a United forum whilst our mods do jack shit, I find it pretty depressing to be honest. Alastair and the others are great and I appreciate having rival fans to get contrasting opinions but as I said this guy belongs on thesun website, not a decent footy forum.

edit: forget it, cw is right this is the wrong thread and you're too much of a prat to even try and talk to.

You're "question" has already been answered. If you're going to insist on talking about Rafael you could at least take your drivel to the correct thread instead of derailing this one.

Nothing to do with the fact that there's another youngster in the first XI (Smalling), who needs an older, more experienced head next to him? I guess not, because Le Arse is so used to throwing all the kids out there and see if they can swim. Incidentally, history shows that this tactic doesn't work so well, especially in the last 5 years, when compared to a more balanced team with deeper squad, such as United.

In short, United > Arsenal.

EDIT: Why am I even engaged in this stupid WUM session?

I just picked up this thread and thought at first it was a Rafael v Wilshere comparison which is daft

However there are 2 clear ideas here

1) No argument - Wilshere is brilliant and will be the fulcrume of the Arsenal and England team for years to come.

2) Rafael - Has the potential to be a good left back but at the moment is a liability.Too many yellow and red cards. No way will he be risked in the big games for the rest of this season.

He's a right back and has played in plenty of big games. Including shutting you lot out.

Rafael is a right back and already has been used in a number of big games this season.

He most certainly will feature this season in other big games.

Pete's part of our Care in the Community programme.

If Gillian says he has the potential to be a good left back then he has the potential to be a good left back.

At the end of the day, I'm going to go against the grain for the Gooners and say I quite like him. I think he's a tad overrated on this site for now, but he could well become excellent. He's shown more than just glimpses now.

 No surprises there.

He was lauded as the best right back in the league right now on here not too long ago.

PS I was at Elland Road when we beat you in the FA Cup replay a few weeks back. Were you there? I have to say Leeds fans were great. Best chant 'We're not famous any more'. Tell me Marching do you go to Leeds games these days?

Full crumb.

If you're going to misspell it, might as well go the whole hog.

Wish I'd known you were there Gillian, I'd have bought you a pint.

From my seat in the East stand upper tier I couldn't hear anything from your shower of shite.

Of course I still go to ER...been going since the late 60's so I can't stop now can I.

Why would Arsenal ever sell to us?

They are a big club, they are not a selling club.

In terms of potential, the kid is worth far more than his intrinsic value. It's absurd to think we will get him, and if we did try for anything less than 40m.

Pete is a fecking idiot tbh, why does anyone pay attention to him, he is Arsenal fans version of Dumpstar.
