Wilshere's price?

People are living in 2005 with prices like £30m. We wouldn't even reply to the inquiring e-mail if it was less than £60m.
That's Bull.;)

Arsenal rather wouldn't even bother to look at any price. Home grown successes don't grow on trees. It's like daring to ask Barca how much they'd be willing to take to part with a Xavi or Iniesta.

I was giving my realistic view on a player based on what the world is like today. It's called living in the real world - something you gunners could try doing instead of putting 2,5m price tags on 3 times PL winner (and CL winner + other cups.) player.

So being blown up by the media, playing for a team that happened to beat barca on their night off and of course being english, on that I base my valuation of him and it's a fecking generous one.

I am fully aware that sanity is not statistical, but it is somewhat bizarre that you seem to be the only person remaining in the western world who is unable to see his ability. £18m is ridiculously low in the modern era, you must accept that. Is £60m as I suggested too steep? Perhaps. But there's a generally accepted mid-point at around £45m which most people accept. And I don't really value Fletcher at £2.5m, that was obviously not serious.

Well yes, of course, I agree entirely. I was working on Sammsky's premise that everyone has a price, and I provided an estimation of one. But as you say, there's no way on earth he's going anywhere.

Wilsheres price was £20m before this season even started.

It's now like £40m, if not more being that he's at Arsenal and they only sell players when they have the next already in line, which clearly right now they don't.

If you stick a decimal point in there, it's about right.

How did it feel sucking pete's cock?

As a reward did he give you that life size inflatable Park punch bag that pete uses to destress himself after every Man Utd - Arsenal game. Or maybe you got the Fletcher version.

I personally stick to the Ryan Shawcross dartboard. Stoke are far more hateful than any United team that's ever been.

Wilshere's like gold dust a potentially world class player who won't want to feck off to Spain.

He he, who rattled your cage.

but would he take the short helicopter ride to Old Trafford? you're so quite so sure are you? ;) :p

I tell you, its a possibility. In fact Im going to put a decent wager on it in the bookies that we sign him this summer.

So a proven player with leadership qualities, an established PL/CL/international player, and who is fundemental to a team who's won 3 of the last 4 league titles and a CL is overrated garbage worth £2.5m(and who has been claimed to be nothing more than a thug by the same posters in the past)? Meanwhile, a lad who's not even completed a top flight season and who's still in need of the odd pamper or two is worth £30-£60m? feck off. Only a couple of biased numbnuts would come up with such bollocks.

It's quite arrogant to suggest that United could lure him away from a title rival. It's the United>All attitude which makes some people despise the club and its fans, which is a shame.

There's no way he's going to United, not now, and if we carry on as we are, not ever.

No-one is seriously rating Fletcher at £2.5m for a start. Wilshere is already better than Fletcher at 19 though, that's part of the reason he's being hyped.

Fletcher's worth about £6M to Sunderland, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes that move soon in PX for Henderson.

He's a better footballer than Fletcher but there is so much more to the game than being a skilled player.

Oh of course. But even Wilshere's discipline and positioning is on a high level now - it improves wth almost every game. On the ball, there's no comparison.

I called for us to make a massive offer for McEachran before he establishes himself. He is more special than Wilshere.

And they (whoever you made the call to) didn't respond?

Regardless of what follows that is the intro of someone with proper reality/grip issues.

Sunderland have signed Sessegnon and Muntari for about £6M each - both are better than Fletcher (Sessegnon way better).

Fletcher is easily worth £25million. Really I understand its an in joke to belittle his achievements but the facts are he has played for the UK's consistently best teams 282 times (50+ matches in the Champions League) and his country 53 times where he is captain and has 8 full years of Premier League experience. Likewise he has shared a dressing room with genuine footballing legends and some of global footballs most skilful and technical players. He is one of the finest players of his type in the world.

Anyone who does not understand this simply displays either is one club track narrow mindedness or just has a completely incompetent grasp of footballing matters.

If that's true then this really is a crazy world. I blame Andy Carroll.

Wilshere is a brilliant prospect, and probably will end up being better than Fletcher, but for now Fletcher is definitely the better player.

Average players play for big teams. He fits in well to United because no-one serves his role. If he went somewhere else, he may well not be as good. You can't get away from the fact he's technically limited, which is why he's not worth anywhere near £25m.

No they're not! In what world are these two better than Fletcher? Not seen much of Sessegnon but Muntari is levels below Fletcher.

Based on this season? Even as a red I could never say something so daft.

I think Fletcher's contribution this season has been underrated on here, although he hasn't been up to the heights of the previous couple of years. However I would still say he's been better than Wilshere this season.

So has Mildred the cleaner.

sometimes you're a great poster, but Im coming to agree with the opinions of most which is mostly you just come across as a WUM prat .... which is a shame because you do offer some very good opinions on occasion. Oh well. if thats what you enjoy doing in your spare time. I'd have thought you would just grow up.

Wilshere's performance against Barcelona wasn't special. He's done that loads this season already - he's a different level to Fletcher entirely.

Fair enough, I'm one of those that has been extremely disappointed with Fletch this season, he seems to have taken 2 steps back from last year.

For me Wilshire has had a far better season than Fletch thus far.

He's a very good player, no doubt, and will probably be a special player. But if you're saying he's currently a different level to Fletcher you're quite seriously underrating his contribution.
