The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Seriously, is Donald an agent of the Democratic party sent to finish off the Republicans once and for all? Because his administration is doing one hell of a job. They're not going to make it to the midterm elections at this rate.
Just waiting for the "APRIL FOOLS!" Tweet

I don't think Trump failing or being impeached is going to effect the GOP that much in the long-term. Most of them (including the base) it seems never wanted Trump and his main supporters certainly don't come across as traditional conservatives.

It's looking like if he's impeached he'll be far from the only one. If Paul Ryan gets swept up in it, then that's a real body blow to the modern GOP.

Spicer insisted....

*Two weeks passes*

"When I said we weren't aware of him, I meant that while we did sign him in and did spend an hour in a private room, the investigation was never discussed and that is all we have to say on the matter".

It'll be a huge blow. I just can't imagine it will ruin the party that significantly in the long-term. Certainly not anymore than their batshit idealistic policies.

Ita funny to me as i always thought that Trump getting the boot was good for republicans as they would get conservative robot Pence. He would be a republicans wet dream of a president

I was wondering about the Senate's investigation yesterday which appears to be a lot more impartial.

I think the Senators are enjoying how competent the Congressmen are making them look.

Highly unlikely that anything nuclear is going to happen. But let's say that Trump gets impeached. Kicked out in his bum.

Why does Pence inherit the earth? People throw. That around but surely they'd have the country vote again?

Nope, goes to VP until the next scheduled election.

There is absolutely no mechanism for a new election. Every US election has run on a 4 year cycle, even in the middle of wartimes.

The crazy thing is that the only non-bad option in that list is called 'the mad dog'.

What we are seeing is kamikaze politics. Nunes is determined to take the investigation down, even if it means going down with it.
US administration delivering a masterclass in corruption.

Glad to see the Senate investigations appear to not mess around if they want Kushner to testify under oath.

Most comical list in history. What have we come to.

At least he didn't pick Hulk Hogan, like I expected.

A bit of a crazy question considering we're talking Trump, but is he actually the most liberal out of the first few on that list?

It's also a bit mental that you have a succession policy rather than having the ruling party or all parties vote for it's best leader.

Someone needs to make a deck of cards with these names.

Is not hard to set precedent. No mechanism? You could vote inside two weeks. It's not difficult in any way, shape or form.

The idea that Trump could be found guilty of participating in something BEFORE he took office, that renders him unfit to hold that office... but someone else takes over is ridiculous.

Plenty of Americans voted Trump vs Hillary. A huge number of swing voters. They didn't vote Republican vs Democrat.

I fully accept that a president is merely the head of a party. Had he committed a crime whilst in office, I understand a line of succession.

But to have been guilty of things whilst he campaigned, lying to people for votes... the same circumstances shouldn't apply.

Not going to happen on any front though. I'm just thinking. Aloud for the most part.

Something something. Kill list. Obama.

:nervous:

Spicey used to dress up as the easter bunny during Dubya's time in the white house. He's been a long running joke in the Republican circles, which is why they gave him the job of embarrassing himself on national TV everyday while covering for Trump.
