The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Apparently Trump was pissed at Spicer on Saturday for his tone and delivery, and the fact that his suit didn't fit him properly.

So...

1. End of Syrian refugees
2. Possible revamp of refugee program as a whole - look at only taking in Christians
3. Freeze on visas of ppl from Muslim majority nations
4. Wall

Number 1 and 4 are confirmed, 2-3 are rumors. Gotta say...if all 4 turn out to be true...Trump delivers.

'Let's give him a chance....this is all simply election rhetoric....'

Iraq is on the list, so no Assyrians, Yazidis, or Kurds.

I think this is the difference between Clinton and Trump:
Obama would not have stopped the DAPL, or done something more temporary, if she had been voted.
Once she came to power, she would try and proceed with the pipeline, and the final decision would be made based on the persistence and strength of the protests.
Since Trump won, Obama decided to force him to "make a public statement", so he stopped the construction. Trump has now re-started it, and IMO will continue regardless of protest intensity.
It was going forward regardless. These pipelines are just red herrings. The protestors are 'fluffing their lines' (to use a Brit term...).

Yup, that's why the next day Spicer turned up in a crisp new Armani. Apparently he's still up for the chop though but was advised against doing it so soon as it would look unprofessional and callous.

India is red because of many factors including coastlines and how susceptible it would be to rising sea levels and alternative and destructive weather patterns, it's also susceptible to major droughts. It's also red because of how it would be affected by poverty, illness especially diseases like malaria and other water/mosquito borne diseases, farming would be severely affected, also because of transport and tourism declining which affects GDP which of course then knocks on to affect everything else. The climate change study takes so many different factors in to account not just the obvious rising sea levels and temperature changes.

Then Sri Lanka should be in a form of deep red and then splattered with more natural blood taken from the sheep.

Whatever you have stated is true for every other country. We are not that heavily reliant on tourism. Actually reading through your post, I don't think you are right about India at all. Not that I take offence, I just think it is not reflective of the picture.

Why is sri lanka in orange ? Clearly the map is bollox.

Agreed. (Perhaps for the first time too, Cheers :D )

Changes like this are Govt. driven in India because we are not a complete free market country. If things begin to get fecked up, Govt itself will do wholesale changes to make the country green. Sure, there are people below poverty line who will be affected, but that's the same in every other country. Politicians will make a shit ton of money, but it'll be done. I remember when Tamil Nadu decided to rainwater harvesting. Everyone grumbled about it and then Govt declared 'It shalt be done' and it was in a week.

Sorry, it's really late (early) but that's just one of numerous reports on India's vulnerability. I remember reading a far more detailed version a few years ago that was around 20 pages long, I'm sure it was on the Greenpeace website but all I can find now is this

http://www.greenpeace.org/india/en/What-We-Do/Stop-Climate-Change/Climate-Impacts/

Anyway, bedtime.

Cheers. Maybe I was a bit blase before and I do think we are in deep shit if there are serious problems with climate change, but I don't think we would be that much worse off than countries like Sri Lanka or China. I could be wrong though.

I love how he's just using the @POTUS account to retweet all the shite from his @realDonaldTrump account

The world has officially gone mad.

No problem, mate. It's off topic anyway. Take care :) P.S. Insomnia is a bitch :(

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Statue of Liberty says '...er ... Donald?'

Not even a week has passed, and already it's fecking depressing to watch the uninhibited manchild play around with power that should never be given to the likes of him.

Things are happening way faster than I expected. He's doing quite a bit of stuff that his supporters will get behind or at least don't mind for the most part, and a lot of it are exactly the sort of things everyone else feared (and downright disgusting if you ask me).

EDIT: Oh and when you start "gagging" people then you know things are shady as feck.

If this all happens

He will be in for 8 years

I'd have taken him more seriously if the list included Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

What he's doing is solidifying the support of his cult. That way, when he continues to line his pockets and jump however high Putin requests, he'll have a rabid following ready to die for him.

Looks like Republicans are going to back him with this wall. What a waste

Was listening to an interview with border patrol agents the other day. Even they think an actual physical wall is a stupid idea. There are already sections of the border with a wall and they're some of the most permeable. They're constantly finding ladders dumped on the American side.

So what is he going to do with the muslims and any other religion that isn't Christian? Deport them all? Ethnic cleansing? How are the UN going to deal with having their headquarters in a country like that? So I presume they will only help starving Christian children?

"Work kampfs camps" probably.

Will get a lot of people into work, unless he is going to use Mexicans to build it.

I wonder where the aggregate will come from?

Well he'a already signed a bill refusing aid to medical relief agencies that don't comply with Christian ideologies.

But also more Mexicans are leaving America than coming in. But this is all about Trumps alternative facts

Yup, and only ones that aren't pregnant or actively seeking birth control or abortions.

The Wall was poo pooed months ago by numerous people on both sides of the fence (feck me, my apologies) The ex Mexican President made it perfectly clear what a stupid idea it was and also said there was no way in hell Mexico would pay for it. It was also picked apart by countless experts and border security personnel, not to mention that it was unfeasible due to numerous areas where building a wall is completely impossible, and on top of all that the price would be billions more than Trump told everyone it would be. However, none of that seems to bother him.

"About 500,000 Jews live in about 140 settlements built since Israel's 1967 occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The settlements are considered illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.

Most of the new homes approved on Tuesday will be built in existing West Bank settlement blocs, including 902 in Ariel and 652 in Givat Zeev.

One hundred will be constructed in Beit El, a settlement near Ramallah that reportedly has received funding from a foundation run by the family of Mr Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner.

Following the announcement, Mr Netanyahu declared on Twitter: "We are building - and continuing to build."
