It’s a clever campaign because it’s massively anti-Trump rather than being in any way pro-Biden. They can absolutely wreck Biden during his presidency and not be in the slightest bit hypocritical.

Depends on how one looks at it. 99% of voting Americans can't tell the difference, maybe. While more than half of the actual population doesn't usually vote.
The further context is that the likes of Bolton and Pompeo are viewed as war hawks who have viewed Iran as an enemy - residually from the 1979 revolution and hostage crisis all the way through the Iraq war when Iran Revolutionary Guard Quds force units coordinated the Iraqi Shi'a insurgency from within Iran. There's also a strong anti-Iranian strain in American conservative politics due to Iran's policy towards Israel. So collectively, its really not much of a surprise that old school hawks would want to take a shot at Iran. The fact that Trump didn't - just illustrates how un-republican he really is.

Biden getting elected is one thing. Trump and Barr leaving office is another.
The military will not let Trump perform a coup. It would quite literally start a civil war and probably break up the country for good. I don't know why people keep bringing up this scenario, it's about as realistic as Trump defecting to Russia.

As soon as Trump is recognised as a busted flush, Republicans will be very very quick to wash their hands of him. It will only be a handful of the absolute mentalists like Nunes and Jordan who maintain the act. It will be a tactic backed up by Fox News who Trump will very much be at war with.

Republican politicians might be quick to wash their hands, but the voters are now more interested in the party of Trump than the party of Bush or Reagan.
That would be incredibly ironic. Funny, in its own way. They nurtured a monster in order to gain votes, and they'd be left behind by voters who only want the monstrous.
