In a way it's extremely fascinating how simple and effective Putin's strategy is. You just create so much doubt, that no one understands what's true or false anymore. And then you reap the rewards.

Though fascinating might be a better word for the strategy behind a football game. This is not a game, this is very, very real.

It only became dangerously effective because so many people had their heads buried in the sand as to Putin's motives. I've been banging on pots and pans in here for years about how dangerous he is.

To be clear - Putin is far more dangerous than ISIS because he is seeking to completely transform the world order whilst sitting atop the world's biggest stock pile of nukes. His threat is exacerbated by gullible fools who think he is just another western leader gone a bit astray and can be brought back into the fold if NATO doesn't expand any more. This is of course complete nonsense.

There's a good chance he won't, due to impeachment. Too many skeletons in his closet. I imagine Putin has a treasure trove of info about him; specifically his Russian investments, which he will release incrementally if the shit hits the fan.

Its not wishful thinking because Pence..feck me...I just cannot see Trump getting out of the first 2 years unscathed.

Leaving that aside, surely the bigger problem is that we have the president of Russia, directly involved in trying to influence the democratic process of the United States of America, while the new president of the USA has been openly supporting him. That's just surreal in my book.

I wouldn't be suprised if he does four, and not nearly as terrible as some might imagine either.

I'd rather go with a sane Conservative than an unhinged drama queen. Pence would lose a reelection attempt imo, where as you just never know what sort of voodoo Trump and Putin would pull out of their arses in 4 years.

Yeah, and this same concept/strategy is a big reason for why he's been in charge of Russia since the 31st of December 1999. If anything he's basically just been honing his skills.

Was it Joe Biden who once tried to explain that Putin quite literally has no soul? I'm sure you've banged on and on about his KGB past then. That man is not difficult to decipher, you can actually read him like a book. For his motives in the most general sense, relating to pretty much everything, you just look at his past. If you want to predict what he's going to do, just look at his past.

Over here it's the same madness. We had the national tragedy with the MH17 flight being shot down above Ukraine, which was one of the biggest disasters for our country in recent times. But the people are apparently so angry in general, or just mentally incapable perhaps, that they decided to feck up an important referendum which would've been a good chance to contain Putin's evil, if only just a little bit.
 
Are people actually believing this stuff about Putin influencing the election through hacking? Surely he didnt make the director of the FBI come out 2 days before the vote and drag Clinton into another email scandal.

They are obviously unrelated. Both affected the outcome, although only one involved a clear intent to do so.

In all seriousness I'm loving these Tweets from the Mexican Ex-President, with that and the new report about Putin I must admit to sitting on the Moron Elect's account on Twitter and continuously hitting F5. He's got to bite soon, he just has to! I mean he's already had a go at Arnie. I can't believe that the moron actually mocked and attacked the new star of his own fecking show! You know, the one is he EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of. :lol: He really is a thick cnut.

We'll never know but she may have been way ahead in those states a little before the final FBI release. Flawed candidate no doubt but it was more than just her that resulted in the loss. Outside factors were a big influence.

I'm not sure about that as it implies somebody intelligent enough to rise to the top of the intelligence community wasn't intelligent enough to know the implications of what they were doing... tbh not 100% impossible but in reality pretty improbable

The FBI isn't an intelligence organization - its an investigative one. Comey obviously thought he was doing the right thing by letting the congressional committee know he had more data to look into after promising them he would let them know previously. He made the wrong decision since it was a break in standard protocol.
 
What Putin did was leak to the US public what the DNC was doing. Their actions to push the 'anoited one' was now open for all to see.
Americans never trusted Hillary.

Her email fiasco merely confirmed everyone's suspisions of how untrustworthy she was.

Hillary would have won if she had a positive message. Instead she merely demonised Trump.

Even so she would have won if not for so many not voting for her in the Mid-West States.
Trump won by fluke. His margins in several of these key states was very thin.

They will study this election for decades.

I'd classify Romney as a sane Republican, not Pence. Pence is on the extreme end himself.

If a strong defense is "do what the hackers tell you to do", then yes their defense is strong as an iron curtain.
