This thread is full critical, if not downright insulting remarks concerning Trump and some of it he probably deserves. What's missing in the discussion altogether is the unprecedented campaign by the outgoing administration to complicate matters for the president-elect. Putting aside what you think of Trump as a person or a future president, doesn't it bother American posters how bad things got? It's taken two sides to create this mess and yet somehow Trump gets all the blame and Obama gets none. It's been the case throughout his two terms, Obama gets a free pass due to the fact that he's likeable and his supporters are blinded by bias. He'll probably shit on the carpet and break all the light bulbs in the Oval Office on January 19th as a final act of his term.
It's almost as if Trump built his modern political reputation off a racist lie against Obama.

Conservatives proclaim themselves as pro-austerity, balance the budget types. A wall would cost something like $35b to build, which doesn't jive with the conservative agenda to tax less and spend less.
