The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Every day passes and I lose more and more hope that any action will be taken against him. I know people are eagerly awaiting the report but it will take some strong people to take action against him, Mueller cannot do it on his own. Is there enough of these people in America with the right influence and in the correct positions? Trump did whatever it took to win in 2016 (involve Russians), what will he do to win in 2020?

Doh!
Guardian said:
Plenty of people, including Nancy Pelosi, are pointing out that Trump may have immediately complicated the legal case for his national emergency.

“I didn’t need to do this,” Trump said of the national emergency during the press conference. We can expect to see that admission pop-up in plenty of the legal challenges expected to be brought against the president’s declaration.

He already said he'll take it to the supreme court and when he says he has his cronies in there (not in those words) it's the one time it's true.

Impeachment in the house means nothing without confirmation by 2/3 of Senate.

Crimes and Treason are a whole different kettle of fish than sex.

I'm saying he will offer to resign rather than have his children in prison.

That is the bare minimum. This will come down to Treason. There really is no sweeping it under the carpet.
Many Americans, Democrats and Republicans and CJ Roberts will not give him a pass.
He is going down in flames.

(CNN) — President Donald Trump once said taking executive action on immigration was an unconstitutional action that could lead to impeachment.

Trump's past comments are at odds with his current plans to declare a national emergency and other executive actions to secure funding for a border wall.

Trump made the comments on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" in November 2014 when asked about executive actions by then-President Barack Obama that would halt deportations for the undocumented parents of children born in the United States.

"Now he has to use executive action and this is a very, very dangerous thing that should be overwritten easily by the Supreme Court," Trump said.

"So we're looking now at a situation, it should absolutely not pass muster in terms of constitutionality, but it depends on what these justices do," he added.

The White House did not return a request for comment.

Trump was also asked if the Obama had committed any impeachable offenses. He said Obama could certainly be impeached for his executive action on immigration.

"Well, he certainly did something that was unconstitutional," Trump said. "Now, it depends on Justice (John) Roberts. If he wants to just curry favor in the Beltway like he did with Obamacare, because that's the only reason he did it. Because he knows he was wrong, but it certainly depends on what happens. I mean, I think certainly he could be impeached and certainly they could shut down the government."

The comments from Trump echo a tweet he sent, also from November 2014, in which he wrote, "Repubs must not allow Pres Obama to subvert the Constitution of the US for his own benefit & because he is unable to negotiate w/ Congress."

I feel like anything highlighting what Trump 'once said' or 'once did' to highlight what he's saying and doing now is a hiding to nothing.

He's the most hypocritical person to have ever existed and that's without hyperbole.

His voters aren't rational. They're a sect. (or death cult, choose yourself)

I knew that once Trump was elected that watching the news wouldn't be boring anymore :D What a breah of fresh aie
Yeah, all those negatively affected by his policies find it incredibly funny, too. I bet all those federal workers who are now in debt, find it hilarious.

What's the video? Not available in my location.

Twitter removed it after REM reported it because they didn't want their song being used by Trump. Basically it showed Trump at the beginning of his SOTU address then showed loads of Dems (mainly ethnic minority Dems at that) looking pissed off or hurt with REM's everybody hurts playing to the video.

It's still on YouTube.

Also, it's an example of confirmation bias to say that it shows 'mainly ethnic minority Dems'. It doesn't.

Hello, let me introduce you to Mitch McConnell.

Imagine if Obama had shared a video like that, then had it taken down by the rights owner.

Oh wait, that's literally unimaginable because a. He understands the law b. He isn't a f'cking 12 year old insecure boy posting from his mom's basement trying to score points with his fellow trolls.

They need to change the definition of the word presidential.

Hello, let me introduce you to Mitch McConnell.
McConnell isn't hypocritical. He exists outside of that. He has no morals, there is no right or wrong, there are no principles he stands by. He is a pure political creature, and evaluates each situation in isolation as to what most benefits the GOP.

If abortion suddenly became popular, he'd be all for it helps him. If Trump told him he's having his wife 'for dinner' but he'll come do a stump speech in his reelection campaign, I'm sure he'd be fine with it.

You can't try to understand McConnells actions as if he's a normal human being, because he is barely the same species as us. (Cue turtle joke)
