I know right, bet those patriots at Fox News are covering it.....oh wait, they’re talking about Obama and Benghazi. As you were.
Almost like the cable news networks are garbage...

I have a very rich and active Democratic member who last month lectured me on what I'm not seeing. he reckons his investments have doubled since Trump came to office - he also sees his friends and family saving for first time in a while.

He reckons DT will sleep walk into a second term. He also reckons the Mueller reports will only amount to continued bluster from the Anti-Trump brigade.

This says it all. who do you think Trump's economic moves are for ?

Your guy is actually a Friend of Hillary Clinton and hates Trump. but reckons we've all lost the run of ourselves - Thinks it's all about economy and Trump has seen so m7ch success

Is he going to blame the Dems for that too?

Given the choice again, he'd vote Trump?

I presume he’s experienced boom and bust before and won’t be duly affected by it?

Deregulation under Trump and the tarriffs and general economic stupidity of him and the GOP are setting us up for a worse recession than 2008

Your friend does have a point. Many Americans will look at their 401k and other investments and think things cant be that bad. However, we have cycles and I'll be gobsmacked if there isn't some sort of downturn by 2020. Just look at how apprehensive Trump is about the Fed. Once rates start going up(they will before the start of the new year), we will see how that affects the economy.
Another point is mid terms aren't really affected by he national economic outlook. Or to put it better, they don't seem the most important factor. We were still in an economic bubble when the Dems flipped both houses in 2006.

Being content usually doesn't drive people to the ballot box though. Dislike does. Anxiety does. And Dems can point to a number of obvious things that counter the GOP argument that the economy is booming for everyone. They don't need to focus on Russia at all (and shouldn't to be honest, let that handle itself).

And the midterms aren't simply Trump vs a single person so I think the broader GOP problem of keeping both halves of Congress is a harder one to navigate.

Looking at the photo in the tweet above:

Ffs, can't Trump even summon up a little decorum for such an occasion? What an absolute bastard.

Judging by yesterday's GDP fiasco, that's 170 in Trump years.

But how many average Americans actually have a 401k and/or investments? Rich people stay rich for a reason, down here in Louisiana primarily a Red state (though where i live its liberal / blue) alot of people who voted for Trump regret doing so and seen their paychecks go down by an average of $80, id be surprised if any of them decide to vote to re-elect him in 2020.

Donald Trump calling in to a New York TV news broadcast. As the station aired footage of the World Trade Center towers collapsing, Trump claimed that his property would now become the tallest building in the area.

“40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest — and then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second-tallest,” he said. “And now it’s the tallest.”

Seen plenty of claims that he wasn't as much of a nutjob in his younger years, but stuff like this really makes you question that.

Donald Trump on Hurricane Florence: "it's tremendously big and tremendously wet".

Good grief...

A bloody cat would make a better president than this clown.
