Seeing as how the op-ed could be construed as hedging one’s bets against Trump’s fortunes with a view towards a Presidential run, Haley would make sense.

Makes no sense -- anyone who wanted to do it would have to weigh up the risks. They would be PNG within the GOP is they were found out. All those mentioned so far have a bit of perceived runway left in their political careers.

A lot of people brought forth this argument that he is more relatable because he speaks like them and more honest because he says what he really thinks. Of course pointing out to them that a good 75% of what he says is just made up bullshit didn't phase them much, he was still more relatable than Clinton. Sad state of affaris.

You can't argue that the US economic performance has been outstanding during his term. Even the long stagnant wage levels are on the rise.
Where did you see that wages are rising? Orange Jesus even cancelled payrises for federal employees saying they can't afford it.
Considering the Carolinas is kind of Trump country I'm sure we ll magically see a relatively proper response. Or at least he ll whine about the govt that he heads n not doing a good job because of other presidents blah blah blah but it won't be his fault.
