The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

In 'typical Mafia-style' news: I found that line in a previous Trump tweet about Cohen's 'wonderful family' a bit unsettling, as if it were a warning about repercussions should Cohen flip. Ironically similar to the hired goon's (alleged) words about Stormy's daughter.

bush had a 22 percent apporval rating at one point.
Trumps aproval rating is 41 percent nationally and among republicans its nearly 90 percent. So he is hardly hated

It's more like a cult following though and also many are just so stubborn they refuse to believe anything against him. He's almost (with the help of some powerful friends and news groups and organisations) brainwashed nearly half the population. Many Republicans are just using him because nearly everything he is doing is destroying Obama and the Dems work and opening up a myriad of ways to make insane amounts of money. The greed and thirst for power is so strong in the GOP that morals, ethics and fairness go completely out the window. They have their agenda and feck everyone else.

You have some just out for money and making it however they can and regulations being stripped is just like opening Fort Knox to them. Then you have the racists and religious nuts who want immigration stoped, the USA back under one God and abortion banned. They want transgender folk and homosexuals to be banned from everywhere let alone just the military. Some just want to feel like the USA is the most important, powerful, feared, respected and desirable country on Earth and its citizens are equally as important. The rest are just shit scared of Trump and too cowardly to speak out against him.

As for hated, he is mocked and hated globally almost everywhere except Israel (surprise surprise) I think. His approval numbers are single digits in some countries and barely above 20% anywhere in the world. Shockingly the UK has him at 23% because the fear and bullshit propaganda machine has been in overdrive before, during and after the EU Referendum and also because like it or not, we are in a lot of ways like the USA and share similarities. One being, we have a pretty large percent or our population being uneducated and racist cnuts. Many have been like it for a long time and many new to it all but have been driven to it by fear through reading the bs in the right wing press like The Mail and Express. Also some genuinely have been driven to it because in some areas white people are a minority, Asian and Black gangs are a problem and assimilation hasn't worked well and the propaganda fear spreading press have jumped on it, as have some of the more distasteful right wing political parties and hate groups. Those people love Trump and can relate to him because like it or not, he does connect well with them and speaks at their level in a language they understand and by bullshitting the lot of them by saying exactly what they want to hear. The trouble is, he doesn't give a flying feck about any of them and is just using them to achieve his own goals of making as much money as possible for him, his family and friends. To be constantly talked about and dominating the news everywhere to feed his ego, self importance and narcissism and to destroy everything Obama did because he humiliated him in public and Trump can never let that go.

Everything is all about him. Everything. The fact he has so far gotten away with it is almost as astonishing as the fact people can't see through it. Whatever, it's definitely a sad time for the USA and depending how much damage Trump is allowed to continue causing, it could be unimaginable how much shit he has and could eventually cause not just the USA, but the world too.

In short, he's a thundercnut but many like him, but far more, especially around the world really despise the prickfaced, feckwitted, mop headed, orange basted, comb-over loving, thick, dumb, ignorant, waste of a wank, oxygen stealing, pussy grabbing, golden shower loving, lying, cheating, ubercunt disgrace to humanity, sweat off a rhinos ballbag, fecking prick.

Breitbart about the Trump/Cohen payments. Just check out the replies. So depressing. Seriously, the right just do not care. The party who shouts loudest about family values and respect etc come up with replies like..

"About time someone reported on the President tapping a fine piece of ass, nobody would believe he would get involved with a skank like Stormy"

"I simply do not care"

"SO what, he's killing it for the USA and the economy. The left cares about shit like this, I do not"

Cheers mate. Tired and a little tipsy hence the rants  I've just replied and expect to awake to hundreds of abusive replies. Feck em. Their attitude is despicable. Poor Melania and Barron have to endure this shit too. He will be teased and bullied about it as well as reading how his dad treated his mum, not to mention how she must feel herself.

Those cnuts would excuse anything. Make me sick.

Laters. I'm off to sleep.

Reading Breitbart comments is generally not a good place to find inspiration.

I know, it came up on my feed and I was just intrigued as to how it would be received by Trump supporters. I wasn't shocked, nor surprised, just disappointed at the hypocrisy and lack of awareness from the same people who constantly shout about family values and honesty and integrity. It's all rather sad tbh.

Not surprised. The right has always been like this. They are just hypocrite.

What was actually said in that meeting is irrelevant. Putin is basically going to say that Trump agreed to whatever Putin wants for the foreseeable and Trump is too weak or compromised to push back.

It's actually 43 percent (most recent weekly average). Obama in July of his second year had 46 percent.

He'll get re-elected most likely. This place is a filter bubble like r/the_donald or Breitbart, just in the opposite direction and consistently underestimates how much Trump's behaviour appeals to the average Joe.

A few months before Trump got elected I was checking out the polls and posted here that it is unbelievably close (44 vs 41 percent) but people told me he had no chance and I should wait until the conventions were done and Hilary would gain another 3 - 5 percent points after that, no questions asked.

The difference between this place and the Donald is we are on the right side. I'm fed up of this equivalency. He is a fecking scumbag.

Where? The feeling I get from reading this thread is that generelly people are quite clear about the possibility of another Trump term.

I would hazard a guess that at least 50 % of mankind consists of scumbags, if not as blatant as in Trump's case than underlying anyway.

My mother in law on the phone during half time of the World Cup final (has no clue about football whatsoever): "I'm for Croatia, France is full of blacks who are aggressive and kicking everyone."

You would be so surprised if you knew the thought process of average people.

I'm pretty sure he'll get reelected now, if he runs. There is no actual content in the left in the US - what do they even stand for?

I really don’t think he stands a hope of getting re-elected. There’s going to be so many independents who will vote just to end this circus. The margin he beat an incredibly unpopular candidate in Clinton is so slim, he actually lost the popular vote and he’s done nothing to earn any new support.

Someone here wrote the Democrats nominated one of maybe 10 people in America who could lose to Trump but anyone else but Hilary and Trump will be done in 2020 for sure.

Someone. One person? This is your sample size?

My job involves me working with large swathes of people in one of the most deprived areas of the UK. I see that sort of attitude a lot.

Most incumbents get re-elected in the US, probably as long as the economy stays steady Trump will be ok.

Normal people were just in denial over the amount of stupid people in the states. Think most of em have woken up to this fact though.

This place might be an anti Trump bubble as you say, but the difference between here and Breitbart is probably 50 iq points on average.

It really is. Some people don't have a clue how popular he is. Most hated  not even close. I would say most divisive though

Why is it funny to say he's the most hated? I don't recall a political leader in the west getting more hatred in my lifetime.

Sounds exactly like Obama aswell

[/QUOTE] well that's what Trump ran on and why he was elected and a reason he's as popular as he is with republicans. Just because we disagree with it and think it's nuts doesn't mean that others think it's great.

The greed and thirst for power is so strong in the GOP that morals, ethics and fairness go completely out the window. They have their agenda and feck everyone else.
sounds like most politicians gop just go where others aren't willing . Does it fecking suck yes.

Yeh no doubt but so what. They still like what he's done. Or allowing them to do.

Yes he's definitely not popular world wide. He's probably at bush 8th year lows already .

Rest just seems like you're rambling on :D

which recent president was more hated in your opinion?
Well if your asking my opinion based on zero facts or actual research I would say either bush or Carter. Reason being their own party hated thought they were trash as well as the opposition .

Not even close to Trump, imo. Bush was a classy statesman in comparison.

They both are bumbling idiots. just because trump speaks crass let's not make that change the fact that Bush 43 was hugely a hugely unpopular war monger who also couldn't speak in complete sentences

I think that's a bit harsh on 43, to be honest. That said, he was MUCH sharper during the 2000 campaign than during his final years as POTUS - the decline was quite noticable.
