He clarified his initial sentence with a double negative that didn’t change the meaning of the original!

He pacified the illiterates so keeps his main support....

EU and Japan sign trade deal covering a third of the world's economy

Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, hailed the agreement as the "largest bilateral trade deal ever."

"Relations between the European Union and Japan have never been stronger," he said in a written statement. "Geographically, we are far apart. But politically and economically we could hardly be any closer."

Female host: "When Trump says our relations are bad because of American foolishness and stupidity, he really smells like an agent of the Kremlin."

Well Russian media, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...

So much WINNING.

To play devil's advocate, would the Russian media be saying stuff like this if Trump was an agent of Putin? Surely the last thing they want to see is Trump being kicked out of office...
There's no chance news anchors and journalists would know if he's an agent or not.

I actually think the tide is turning, based on headlines and reader comments from the daily mail. The publication was staunchly pro-Trump (and the comments too) and I've seen mostly negative press and comments about trump over the past 2 days.

It depends. I've seen loads of Mail articles with the top comments being critical of Trump.

Give it time mate, too early to tell. Don't do it to yourself....

At this point I can imagine Trump holding a Russian flag while shitting on an American flag and still win the 2020 elections. Desperate times.

Admitting the painfully obvious is the only choice they have if they want to maintain their disguise of not being controlled.

Big results? I guess he swapped Montenegro for a promised Trump Tower in Moscow.

I wish that was a joke...

Indeed. If you read between the lines or follow any of RT's reporting in particular it is clear Trump is propped up just enough to make it seem like there is some impartiality - all the while slamming democrats and praising Putin.

CNN quoted WH sources saying his advisors are too scared to tell him the truth.
Now I believe this tweet is a lie but there's a chance these people are briefing one thing to the press and telling the president another. This administration is broken.

I think he's just hugely passive aggressive, but a complete coward in person.

You've all met those people who are really agreeable and friendly in person, but happy to pour shit over you behind your back if they don't like you.

Seems he mocks and criticises foreign leaders, until upon meeting them, where he suddenly praises and bends over for them. Including but not limited to; Kim Jong Un, Angela Merkel, and now Vladimir Putin

Blaming the rift between Russia and the USA on "Years of American stupidity and foolishness" is pretty much bending over as far as possible. Putin and the propoganda machine must be fecking loving this.

Like that kid who used to talk about how he was going to smash the school bully the next time he saw him, who then wilted and tried to be pally with the guy, before saying later in the day "he was lucky that I didn't beat him up" from the safety of his room... He's fecking weak as feck, a pathetic person and without a doubt not leadership material. He also looks like a pork chop that's had mustard squirted on it.

The USA will be completely alone in few years. Even Putin will probably leave Trump when he sees he doesn't him anymore.

Putin isn't helping Trump in any meaningful way as is? He only helped him get elected to weaken the US/West. He'll hardly help Trump strengthen the US/West now!?

How difficult would it be for USA to repair international relationships once he's out of office? From an international perspective the concern would have to be that even if relationships were repaired and you elected a progressive president one term, another Trump could be just around the corner.

Can people imagine a scenario where Trump is the only one seeing the truth? The EU are actual foes and engineered all of this with their pal, Putin.

The US accounts for 33% of the world's wealth and has by far the largest influence of any country on the world, so no, it won't be on it's own just because of Trump.

“On their own” is definitely a massive over statement but he’s doing massive damage to their international trade infrastructure with his tariffs and general isolationism.

He’s not used to dealing with transactions happening two ways. His used to dealing with people selling stuff to him, when he also has to consider selling stuff back, his heavy handed methods of dealing are almost completely negated.

Elon Musk probably has a simulation theory about it.

It’s about like the whole “what if the schizophrenic people are really the normal ones and we are all crazy?” question.
