Hahahahahahahaha, this isnt actually happening is it? He is saying he meant the opposite?! Seriously, a Mel brooks movie can’t make this shit up.

A few pages back I doubted his backers intelligence. People still backing him after this, and Im sure there will be many, well, I fecking told you so?

Really, what a monty Python level of feckwittery

How are his advisors ok with this defense? Did they just come up with it like, ah feck it, we’ll say he meant the opposite I’m sure it will be fine. What is the process here? Do they laugh at first thinking the idea is a joke? Is it Trump himself who comes up with it?

It just blows my mind.

I'm sure he's been meaning to say that there was collusion with Russia all along but he's fecked it up by throwing in a 'no' there somewhere in the middle every time.

How is Trump surviving all this?

its because there are no good Republicans. The sooner you accept that the sooner you realize that we cant just elect centrist corporate dems and call for compromise.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Man he has the excuses of a toddler. It's absolutely mental that someone goes on TV and tells him what to do - this time Scaramucci - and he does as requested hours later. I reckon he's the first president that cares more about the screen than the real world.

Worst backtracking lie since 'Boo-urns'.

Pragmatism and and baby steps. I really don’t think you can expect a country with a spectrum skewed that far right to suddenly be open to progressive candidates all over the country.

The main problem you have is that while some states might be ready for socialist, progressive representatives, others are nowhere near so it’s got to be treated as a marathon rather than a sprint. If Clinton got in, for all her faults, the Dems would have had two liberal picks for SCOTUS. The impact that would have on politics for the next two decades is immeasurable and could have been a large factor in shifting the political spectrum back towards the left.

We share the majority of the same political views so I’m not criticising your ideals but I really do think you should show more pragmatism and look to the long term and the bigger picture.

No good is fine, but Im quite sure there are intelligent republicans. They’re cnuts so they don’t care that they’re doing a shite job, but how can someone with half a brain come up with this kinder garten defense of d’ooooh I meant wouldn’t not would you silly geese.

America is fecked either way, the system is polarised beyond repair. Republicans would rather have a child molester republican in office than a democrat saint and Im sure it’s vice versa as well. Seeing as you say with some conviction that ALL republicans are basically evil. Trump is just the latest proponent of this.

Merrick Garland is hardly Liberal. Also I very much doubt Kenedy would have retired. Probably Ruth Ginsburg would have retired. The problem with the Court though is lost on most americans. The problem is not that it's conservative. The problem is that its being filled with a bunch of activist judges and originalist. These type of judges should never be on the court no matter if they are left or right leaning.

The amended sentence...

"I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia. President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today."

Makes complete sense, eh?

It's all of a piece with him wanting all the credit for his election win.

"I really meant that the homework ate my dog".

I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today and what he did was an incredible offer "

I used to think like you did. I volunteered many hours on Obama's campaign. I voted for him. I supported incrementalism, etc. But I dont know how to look at the years since 2008 and conclude anything other than incrementalism and "pragmatism" is a failure. Obama's presidency was a failure. The ACA was a failure. The Iran deal is dead. He got elected with the biggest mandate in decades and his major domestic and foreign policy achievements are shredded inside of a year.

Even more to the point, the Democrats followed this strategy and lost 1000 seats and let trump become president. If the rule you followed led you to this point, of what use was the rule? I truly dont understand people who look at the events of this decade and think the old rules apply. It's such a catastrophic event that it blew everything we thought we knew out of the water. The center cannot hold.

I edited out the bird walking in between... But, you get the point.

One day, if this country and my job still exist, I’m going to get to teach about July 16, 2018 and what our President said in Helsinki... then I’m going to get to teach about how he excused himself the next day. Man, what a time to be a history teacher.

I can only imagine how this is making you feel. Its like living through pearl harbour

Put me in a room with him for 3 minutes he'll be saying:

"I meant to say 'We are taking advantage of Europe, Japan, Korea, Mexico and Canada' "

I got my course schedule for this coming School year. It includes “Current Events” and “US Foreign Policy”.

I’m tempted to ask my bosses if I should include basic Russian as part of the curriculum.

Aren't there more progressives running for office this year than ever before? I can see that number increasing by 2020.

People are being too hard on Trump. He made a small word mistake.

But the reality is it takes many months to drain the swamp. Have faith.
