The evident extinction of the Redcafe population of Trump supporters is a sad but predictable story.

They were only ever rarely sighted and when they were we kept asking them to back up their claims. They then linked Breitbart and Daily Caller. Then they called us a liberal circle-jerk and stropped off when we said they were being silly.

There are rumours they still exist in other parts of the forum but no data exists on this.
To be fair to them, they'd make one post then have 10 posters all jump on asking different questions then have those ten quote each other about how stupid the original poster was.
It would be hard to keep up!
Maybe it was the fear of Trump winning but it was a bear pit in here for a while!

There were a few Trump fans who would semi-regularly came into the thread but they rarely actually made a go of defending Trump policy. Generally they just made arses of themselves by talking about moany liberals or how climate change isn't real before fecking off again.

We still have out'n'proud Melania supporters though.

I just downloaded the 17/18 Campaign Expenditure file and drilled down a bit....

Are there any? I'd be intrigued to hear from someone across the aisle.
Don't tempt them.

The tend to just enjoy that Trump is messing a lot of things up in "the swamp" because they were angry that their jobs are in jeopardy, even though it's largely on them for taking their livelihoods for granted and not anticipating change. They also fail to see that replacing something bad with something worse is not a good way to improve things.

Some are also just closet Christian Mullahs who would like to see a gun-toting Christian theocracy where everyone is so proud to stand up for national anthems and do daily pledge of allegiances to flags, all while misinterpreting and cherry picking the Constitution — essentially reciting like two of the amendments.

And then there are also others who want to see the great US military power make all the countries scared of us, and honestly believe that Trump is doing a good job in making everyone respect us.

All of these types will either be in denial or be quick to shrug off all of his controversies because he's speaks "like them". Which is surprising to me because I didn't realize every Conservative American were cheating on their families with whores and porn stars and disrespecting everyone in unprofessional manners.

I had assumed that the disclosure about the payment by Giuliani to Hannity was a calculated release to get ahead of what they knew they would have to later admit, but the amount of firefighting he and whoever drafted Trumps tweets earlier are doing today suggests it's more like a total balls up by Giuliani after all.

Whoever thought Giuliani was a smart guy because he placed a handkerchief over his mouth seriously drank the media Kool-Aid.

That's my take on it as well. Like I wrote earlier, they wanted someone to stir things up, irregardless of him being breathtakingly unfit for the job. Not only because he's not Hillary, but also because he's male and a "strong", "selfmade" billionaire, who will bring back the glory days of the American military, be tough on the muslims, stay clear of the 2. amendment and do so while giving tax breaks. Nevermind the thousands of people who have suffered because of his financial explorations, his government bailout and the fact that it's mostly the largest corporations that will benefit from his tax cuts.

I'm not American, mind, and certainly not an expert on American politics, but that's how it looks from Scandinavia.

Some weird/interesting stuff in those files! They somehow paid $164k to the peoples action movementS 'stop trump' campaign!

I'd assume the "Stop Trump" campaign won a law suit.

Just going through reddit on Trump and as expected, none of the scandal seems to affect any of that lot.

https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/8gpiik/geotus_lays_out_the_facts/

They just keep abusing Daniels or its a case of Trump's past life.

Also, everyone in there seems to think, she broke the NDA. But from what I remember, the NDA was considered invalid because he didn't sign it right?. or am I missing something?.

Because they don't view the matter as one of right v wrong. They view it instead of us v them.

It's a pretty accurate assessment. Even though I'm in a multicultural city, I'm still in the South, and I know many Trump voters and got a good sense of their priorities. I just never argue with them. I merely just ask them to elaborate on any of their views. Usually comes out to be one of the cases that I mentioned. Good people, mind. But atrocious politics.

I'm getting sick of all this now......

Nothing is going to happen with Trump. Unless Muller finds Trump worked hand in hand with Putin in rigging th election - nothing will happen. Trump will never be impeached. END OF

If we focus on the actual Presidency - He is doing a good job. No matter what we all think of Trump - We are sleep walking into another term of office for Trump and galvanising the Republican support base with all this BS.

I would rather focus on why Republicans are putting up with the the endless lies. Mike Pence has a lot to answer for, in supporting this charlatan

I'm one of those I guess, but I couldn't be bothered given it's become an echo chamber of a thread.
To be honest, I think he's already one of the best Presidents in history after eight years of one of the worst.

He spends most of his time playing golf, insulting people who dislike him and pretending he didn't pay off a pornstar.

Not really though. His approval ratings are absolutely terrible and he barely won the 2016 election, scraping by on thousands of votes in a few select key areas against a horrendous Democratic candidate. A strong Dem has every chance of beating him in 2020. In the meantime it's fair to investigate whether or not he's got dodgy financial dealings and what the impact of those dealings are. Should people just give up and ignore a lot of the crooked stuff he's doing because his party don't care?

Wishful thinking and bollox.

I hope for your sake the Korean situation isn't sorted out.
