The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Lately I've got the feeling that none of this matters at all. Even if it comes to light that Trump had sex with an army of pornstars in the room where Melania was in active labor his supporters will still say, MAGA, BEST PRESIDENT EVER, I DIDNT HIRE HIM TO BE SAINTLY, or whatever.

The only way he's going down is if they can prove he colluded with Russia or obstructed justice and even then, his supporters will claim the deep state fecked him and that it's a crooked Hillary / Obama conspiracy.

I have lost all faith.

Trump is putting through republican policy, there's no reasons for the them to get rid.

They supposedly hate him, and many are just waiting to get through the midterm primaries before turning on him. They’re terrified of a blue wave in November and not keen on going down with the ship.

Yeah, that's how I feel as well. If/when it's proven that Trump paid off Daniels, his supporters will just shrug it off as "I voted for him because drain the swamp/disrupter/lower taxes/maga, not to be a decent person".

And as for the Russian collusion, they will just claim it's fake, not that important or a necessary evil to get those tax cuts.

The fact that 40% of the American population still support him speaks volumes.

The only thing I could see that would seriously put a dent in his core base would be a revelation that he paid a woman he had an affair with to have an abortion. I think that's the only issue the evangelicals couldn't wilfully turn a blind eye to and even then it would require absolutely undeniable proof.

At this point I doubt they would even care about that. I'm quite sure having extramarital sex with a pornstar is frowned upon in Christian circles as well, but they don't seem to mind that.

Yeah it is, but only until it actually happens. It doesn't go against any of their core policys (which also aren't really "christian" in nature). Abortion though is a hill they are willing to die on.

Well, going by what they haven't cared about so far, I doubt an abortion would make any difference.

“But he hasn’t paid for an abortion since he entered the White House! He’s a born again christian not a saint!” etc etc

He's doing God's work! Now is not the time to judge him for giving in to temptations of the flesh!

 Pretty much.

"Even if he is a lying and racist serial cheater, he's still bringing Christ back to Gods no.1 country"

Suing people is the usual route for false accusations or perhaps he understands it's harder to prove something didn't happen than did happen...

What A roll moddle...,....

Making it up as he goes along.

DT - “I’ll pay you $130,000 if you stop telling lies about me...”

Stormy - “Don’t you mean you’ll su... oh, okay! Sure!”

He's definitely on a role with Twitter today. Or someone else who can't spell is on his behalf.

Isn't all of this just going to be used against him in court one day?

These tweets don't look like they are his usual ramblings, but rather a prepared statement.

Without doubt.
Whoever's idea it is, is pretty stupid. They've just boxed themselves in, in court.

Just a few weeks ago, he said he knew nothing about any payment.
Where are the Trumpers on this forum?

Are there any? I'd be intrigued to hear from someone across the aisle.

Me too. Such a scary world we live in: lots of my friends used to vote Republican - several were even part of the groups at Uni. To a one they've disavowed the party. I have 0 friends that openly support Trump, and hence just no idea how anyone can be for him.

Problems of our era I guess.

I think it might be a big problem, as people could choose to vote for Trump only to stir the pot, you know, to "drain the swamp", but never engage in any meaningful discussion because they're afraid of being labeled as a fecking idiot.

Who knows, maybe some of your friends actually voted Trump, but just can't bring themselves to admit it.

The evident extinction of the Redcafe population of Trump supporters is a sad but predictable story.

They were only ever rarely sighted and when they were we kept asking them to back up their claims. They then linked Breitbart and Daily Caller. Then they called us a liberal circle-jerk and stropped off when we said they were being silly.

There are rumours they still exist in other parts of the forum but no data exists on this.

Or worse yet, they could still be supporting him and just don't want to publicly voice their opinion. It really doesn't matter now whether they voted for him previously. What could hurt everyone is if they voted him again.

<Don't meant just your friends.. I mean the R voters in general>

Perhaps. Had dinner with a friend who was head of the young Republicans at school last week and he sounded just like myself - a delusional, optimistic libtard - with regards to Trump losing it. He has no idea how the Senate Republicans can deal with it. (The house is full of whackjobs in districts so gerrymandered a MAGA hat would win)

"I don't have time to explain it or show sources, just google it yourself"
