The real home run for Trump would be if there is no Pee Pee Tape and Putin has nothing on him, and the only reason Trump was not criticizing him was because he didn't want to lose Putin's support for future business opportunities once Trump is done with being President. That would allow Trump to go negative on Putin now and do other things Vlad doesn't like, (such as go after Assad).

Its's basically the go-to for any failing/want to be autocratic politician ever. The special thing about Trump is that he has so many to blame: Hillary, Obama, MSM, Germany, NATO, Canada, Mexico, FBI, The Democrats, Trade deals, China, his dog, Comey, California, Rosie O'Donnel, NFL, Kim Jong-Un, Hollywood and poor people
He is the first who doesn't want a deal because he won on dividing the U.S.A.

Yes, but I agree with Trump that something had to be done when the tariff on a car from China to the US is 2,5%, while the other way it is 25%.
China has had unfair advantages by being classed as a developing country, with the tariffs that follows, for too long. About time that their free pass got revoked.

I just mentioned the car thing as an example because that is the most striking example, but tariffs will be adjusted across the board and intellectual property laws will be put in place, while opening the bank sector.
WTO has given China unfair advantages by classing them as a developing nation for too long now. Rural China might be on the level of a developing country, but their trade, technology and cities sure as shit isn't.
Trump is the only one who has called them out on it. The rest of the world has been happy to let the Chinese go on, as long as they produce cheap little plastic toys for us.
Go ahead then, slap a big tarrif on chinese imports, let's see who suffers more.
Only ones with a big enough carrot and stick to do it is the US, and Trump is the first and only of them to do it.
Don't let your hatred for Trump cloud your judgement on how China has had advantages, and taken advantages, when it comes to global trade this last decade.

What advantages? Tarrifs are bilateral agreement. If the us dont like being bombarded with chinese goods they're free not to buy from them.
You want free trade and all that but cry foul when the chinese are more efficient in producing goods and produced things cheaper. The us imposed tarrifs whenever they see fit but complains when others imposed their own.

I'd just like to emphasise this point. It seems alot of people are ill informed on the "pee pee tape" and are going to end up disappointed (as mad as that seems) if this tape does indeed surface. I thought it was made clear Trump was a spectator to the pissing antics as the whole point of doing it was to defile the bed the Obamas slept in.
Trump even used this inaccuracy to his advantage citing himself as a "germaphobe" to deny the event even took place. Seems to me if we stick to what is actually claimed to have happened then it sounds entirely plausablibe that a load of hookers ordered to have pissing contest on the bed would be just what a vindictive shit and self confessed germaphobe like Trump would do to have it permanently defiled.

Being classed as a developing nation they get the advantage of low tariffs on their own exported goods, while they also can put heavy tariffs on imported goods to make their domestic alternatives more competitive.
It is unfair, since they are in no shape or form a developing country anymore.
The wto does allow some leeway in protectionism for developing countries. But at the end of the day tarrifs are agrement between 2 nations. It's up to each countries how they want to impose tarrifs. You don't like china, go slap a high tarrif on them, nobody's stopping you, just like nobody can stop trump from impossing a tarrif on aluminium.
Besides. The aim of wto is zero tarrifs, what trump does is tarrif discrimination and predatory, it's the very thing wto wants to tackle in the first place.

Well said. It really doesn't help that not only does Trump see things only in black and white, he also only sees things in his own version of black and white. He has a very childlike understanding of things and if too complicated he simply gives up and goes with whoever can explain it simply enough, never once minding what angle or bias they are coming from.
He has zero understanding of global trade or how it works. The fact he continually bangs on and on about a $500 billion deficit and how he sees that as actual money lost (and probably owed) to the USA, says it all.
Yes China does exceptionally well from trade but that's due to hard work and clever (if sometimes deceptive) trade practices. Them still being classed as a developing country and obtaining perks from that is NOT THEIR FAULT. You can't blame them for taking any bonus they can. Did any of the big businesss Trump gave massive tax cuts to turn round and reject them? Did they say it was unfair and they didn't need them and say they wanted to pay more tax? No of course not. So this stick to beat China with is stupid and the wrath should be aimed at the WTO and not China.
Trump has had a bee in his bonnet with China since his campaign. Calling them out for money manipulation etc but never once caring about human rights violations. He doesn't give a shit about that, just about the money. It's ALWAYS about the money with him and his childlike hang up of things not being fair. I bet he even stamps his feet when he says that out loud.
Trump needs to be careful as nobody wins in a trade war and the USA's tax payers, farmers, business owners, consumers and workers are the ones who will suffer from his lack of understanding and him picking fights he not only cannot win but over things he just doesn't get.
