How prophetic.

Also - bizarre watching this, as has been noted in a number of prior interviews he's not so incomprehensible in these videos. He's still keen on all his buzzwords like 'tremendous' etc but basically comes across as someone who's fairly right-wing economically while being fairly socially liberal. Still far from being insightful or anything, but still...nowhere near as mental as he is now.

Yeah, Wolff says precisely this in the video above. He's mentally incapacitated.

I'd agree with that.

It's still quite fascinating to hear the seeds of what he'd become though. Even then you can see the admiration for the 80s era Reagan, and for the sort of idealised 1950s Eisenhower-era American - even though he wasn't so fervent in his way of expressing it, it's clear even then that he saw those eras as very much being an expression of the American ideal - of the great American era he wants to return to. Of course, such eras were far from perfect, especially if you weren't someone born into wealth like Trump.

Also evident is his immense appreciation for the sort of presentation-style of Reagan, and of the authoritarian so-called 'strong' leadership. Again...not so fervently expressed, but still evident.

I shouldn't wish bad things to happen to people but my god I wish someone would take a hammer to both of his knees or something. Perhaps the most detestable person to have emerged over the past few years and that's saying something.

This is how I remember him. Brash but still sane.

Michael Wolff will so be played by Stanley Tucci in the movie.
Don't know who that is, is this him?

I'd love it if Shepard Smith brought up him and the anthem on his show but he'd probably be murdered once it was finished.

White House refuses to comment on Mueller probe claims
https://www.rte.ie/news/2018/0109/931921-trump_mueller/

The White House has refused to confirm or deny media reports that the US President could be interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller about possible collusion between Donald Trump's campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential race.

"The White House does not comment on communications with the Office of the Special Counsel out of respect for the Office of the Special Counsel and its process," a statement from Trump lawyer Ty Cobb read.

Mr Mueller, a former FBI director, may also be looking at whether Mr Trump and his inner circle sought to obstruct justice - which has raised speculation that the president himself would be interviewed.

Mr Trump has indicated he would talk to Mr Mueller, although the political and legal risks of a sitting president being questioned by the special prosecutor are manifold.

Just started listening to Wolff's audibook Fire and Fury on Trump's first year - shocking at times but a compelling listen just the same, only on Chapter 5 atm. I don't follow what goes on with him & the US too much apart from some of the headlines that land in front of me as his idiocy was never a question for me + it gets tiring to hear the two sides of the narrative on him & US politics, over & over. Yet, the book does reveal to some astonishing extent just how crazy things are behind closed doors

I think what concerns me more than his incompetence (Not up for debate obviously) and how he is likely to make a bigger & bigger mess of things in the US is how easily he could be the stooge in the intelligence community's agenda which could have far worse consequences

..moreover, the US won't be seen as trustworthy after Trump leaves office. No matter who comes in after him, I think most countries would realize that making deals and agreements with the US aren't binding based on the fact that their own internal division permeates into foreign policy. How could countries trust the US after this?

Oh I'm sure we'll all be massively reassured when "The Leader of the Free World" is Oprah fecking Winfrey.
