Thats about the tenth time hes banged on about Apple factories.

Company has been in existence since the 70's, its never built anything in the US in its history. It won't start now, unless Americans are going to work for $5 a day for 12 hour shifts and live at the factory in apartments that have nets under the windows to catch the suicide jumpers.

Click through on that article I posted to read the dodge from Cook. It ain't happening.

Damnit, who leaked the latest White House plan for employment?

Tillerson spurns $80 million to counter ISIS, Russian propaganda
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/08/02/tillerson-isis-russia-propaganda-241218

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is resisting the pleas of State Department officials to spend nearly $80 million allocated by Congress for fighting terrorist propaganda and Russian disinformation.

One Tillerson aide, R.C. Hammond, suggested the money is unwelcome because any extra funding for programs to counter Russian media influence would anger Moscow, according to a former senior State Department official.

Very out of the box approach...

Listening on the radio.. Cuomo on New Day is taking it to this GOP representative (didn't catch his name) about insurance companies and how their plan will hurt Americans and allow companies to pass increasing costs onto consumers.

Edit to add..

Rep.. "I was on Obamacare in a state with only 1 insurer now before I got to the House"

Cuomo.. "Did your state accept the Medicaid expansion?"

Rep.. "Ehh, no."

Cuomo.. "See what I mean? Your plan makes it worse."

Makes you wonder whether they know why and what their roles are in Congress.

Tell me that he is good at golf at least :D

He is, but that's to be expected seeing how much he plays. It's also well known and documented, and unsurprising, that he cheats. BIGLY and all the time @Rado_N knows people who have played with him and it's been mentioned in this thread a few times . There really is little worse than a golf cheat seeing as you only play the course and yourself, the only person you are really cheating and lying to, is yourself. It's slightly refreshing, although little comfort, that he actually lies to himself as much as he lies to others.

Oh and......

Statements like this just blow my mind:

So he is claiming that throughout the entire speech, the whole crowd was standing applauding him? It is so troubling that he will lie about things that are easily disproved. I just cannot understand why no one pulls him up on these things. He lies, and is allowed to get away with it -perhaps due to the sheer volume of untruths that he is spouting.

Just the same as he was with his fictitious call from the NHL back when he was a candidate (I think) He's moronic, why constantly lie about things that can be so easily proved? And like his fake call from his Generals last week regarding the Transgender issue, like you mate, I just don't get why is he allowed to get away with it all the time? I would hope we in the UK would riot if we ever had a leader like this.

Feck my life. I honestly don't know what to say. The question in itself is fecking menthol, but some of the replies are frightening. Scratch that, they are petrifying.

These people have less of a clue than Trump. No, they have the same clue he does. I particularly like the comment about it not being in the USA's nature to start wars. You would have thought people might have learned their lessons after the clusterfeck of Iraq and Afghanistan, and the fact those wars have cost hundreds of thousands of lives and nearly bankrupted the country (and half the world) Apparently not. GO USA! Wooooooooo! Yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaw!

Too soon. The DNC needs to rebrand or reposition itself first.

I agree completely, they need a positive message and they need to run with it. Personally I think healthcare is what they should run on, but whatever it is it needs to be positive and not just attacking Trump. He's the reason they are 7 points clear already, he damages himself and his (supposed) party more than enough on a daily basis, they don't need to point it out to anyone. If people haven't clicked on by now, they never will and by the time the mid-terms come around I expect the vast majority of US citizens will be absolutely sick and tired of The Donald show, if they aren't already, which I imagine most are.

Its all about the 14% that they need to flip -- his 36% wont shift in the next 16 months -- which is an amazing psychological studies of denial and cognitive dissonance in itself.

If Wall Street is booming then and yet there is no trickle down, it will help chip away at the 36%.

7 points in the generic ballot is actually massive, but the problem is it's more than a year until the midterm, so while it sounds nice, the number is useless.

There has to be hard evidence for his supporters -- there is only so much fake 'wins' they can be marketed to by the Orange Con Artist. They expect something tangible by August next year.

If Mooch playing the idiot loudmouth and the tweet about the transgender ban was only for diversion then they did a hell of a job with that.

There's no doubt that the Magnitsky act is a major thorn in Putin's side, and this lawyer Veselnitskaya seems to be a major player in his attempts to get rid of it. It's funny how Don Jr&co can't really seem to remember much about their meeting with her unless the press reminds them of what actually happened.. and Trump says that he both heard of the meeting and then that he never knew anything about it.

Browder and Magnitsky are fecking heroes if what he's saying is true.

There is concrete proof that independents have largely deserted him, for now. Whoever he still has on his side wont budge. What we need to keep an eye out for is whether his continued antics depress some of them to the point they wont vote, or fleeting but strong market number will appear and let him spin it in his favour to win back some independents.

Signs so far are good. Ruling party tend to lose in the midterm, but Dems are also notoriously bad at turning out voters for these elections. Senate map is also impossible so don't expect an impeachment even if the House is won - which is easier said than done.

I think he genuinely doesn't understand the difference between truth and falsehood.

One can only hope -- but if Mueller discovers financial crimes, it will change the ball game.

I wonder if there has ever been a politician who has such cult-like loyalty like Trump with his base?

There is a very obvious answer, that invokes an internet law.

In the US, not really, no. Saint Reagan came close. Sarah Palin would probably have the same rabid base had she gotten into power.

Trump just signed the new/enchanced/remodeled Russian sanctions into law.

Of course - there was no big media event/photo op for this....he didn't want the world to see his tears :(

I think he genuinely doesn't understand the difference between truth and falsehood.

As Harry Frankfurt would describe it he's not a liar, he's a bullshitter.

The liar cares about the truth and attempts to hide it; the bullshitter doesn't care if what they say is true or false but rather only cares whether or not their listener is persuaded.

I think there's still another 5-10% that could be scrapped away if Mueller recommends charges and/or if Trump continues to fail to achieve his promised goals. There's been a lot of reports of Trump voters hovering on the regret line. I think the hard base number is probably about where Nixons was, around 26%.

Trump taking a dig at Congress

@MrMarcello that's a cracking reply. Can't argue with that.

BOOM! Although 7 points isn't enough. It needs to be more.

I read something abut gerrymandering.
It seems, even with a huge pint lead, the GOP will still win more seats?
That's fecked up.

I am not surprised at all. The man is just a living liar.
