The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

I'm so glad some people chose not to vote for Hillary because "they're all the same".

Let's not forget those that chose to vote for independent's as a "protest". That really showed them.

It's always the same people who get to the top of Trump's replies. There's the smug OH MY GOD! liberals and the fawning conservatives with idiotic memes. America is not going to bridge the gap when both sides demonize each other treating political alliances as if it's sports.

Your own article:

Was this because Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee? Because FBI Director James Comey recklessly interfered? Because a tiny fraction of the electorate voted for Jill Stein? Because Clinton didn’t really bother to campaign in the Rust Belt? Why, yes! In an election decided by 110,000 votes, just about every factor can be considered decisive.

I think some might be overreacting a little.

Overreacting to the POTUS posting an immature video of himself "beating up CNN"? It's an absolutely bat shit crazy scenario that is virtually impossible to overreact to.

If it was the brash CEO of a some snotty tech startup, you'd still think "Ha! Tool. Enjoy getting sued". And this is the most powerful man in the world. Who has quite a lot of actually important stuff on right now!

Can I just point out that this is the day that the Declaration of Independence was actually voted on and passed by the 2nd Continental Congress.

And we've descended to this bullshit.

Never mind impeachment, I reckon the way he is carrying on he is bound to have a full on break down sooner rather than later. Just doesn't seem to have the capacity for this job in any way.

The point of the article is that, these were not entirely the reason why she lost.
She was a highly distrusted candidate who was under criminal investigation and she had no message.
Read on after what you quoted.

But the Dems have not learned.

Look at Ossoff's campaign.

The point of the article was to offer other explanations, and "just about every factor can be considered decisive" like it said.

I mean...yeah, on the one hand it's sort of hilarious, but then on the other it is kind of inciting violence, is it not? Even if it's fake, wrestling violence.

on the evening of the elections, no one, not even Hillary nor Trump were expecting anything other than a Hillary win.

Trump won by fluke.
The point is that the democratic candidate should never have been this close, loss or not.

Whatever they could do wrong, they Did wrong.

The most dangerous observation now is, the DNC has still not learned their lesson.

You do realise that intelligent and articulate citizens like you will be responsible for educating people about things like this? Because the new President sure as shit isn't helping and if anything is destroying traditions and certainly not respecting them.

Oh I'm literally on the hook for it. Believe me, I do my best to help the kids filter out the propaganda.

Agreed with all the blue parts. I have my reservation about the last bit, if they had let Sanders win the nomination (despite the millions of vote in Hillary's favour), you'd be seeing Dems feeling their party being taken in a direction they don't want to go like GOP feeling about Trump right now.

Given the choice, of course Sanders would be much much preferable to Trump, but the fact is that all indications to the DNC (like you said), was that they have the person the want and everyone thought she'd win and govern exactly how they want her to.

Just when you think this presidency couldn't get any lower or stranger, he ends up doing so.

Even those users on The Donald (Where this gif was being posted) would never have dreamed their demigod would ever tweet that type of gif.

The DNC is not where the voters are. The voters are Center Left. Not Center Right. Hillary is a an old fashioned Republican. Those millions of votes you keep bringing up (the primaries I mean) are meaningless. She ran up votes in Red States she was never going to win in the GE. The mistake of the nomination lies primarily with the DNC..and Obama. As I said earlier "a highly distrusted candidate under criminal investigation without any message other than Trump was evil.
Hey on top of that why not call potential voters racists as well.
It should have been an eye opener when Hillary lost to Bernie in MN, MI and WI.

As for current strategy. The DNC needs to listen to its voter not its donors. Running centrist is a solution for failure.

I think that just as much as the pseudo 'civil war' we have on our hands, this is the culmination of the unanticipated effects of the Information/Internet Age on the democratic process.

The POTUS who was helped to power (unwittingly or otherwise) by Russian internet bots and trolls tweeting a clip he found on reddit is the perfect representation of this.

Remove this insufferable excuse for a human being from office already. It's so sickening to watch.

I can't laugh at this in the slightest. It's just one step away from openly calling for violence against the media.

I hope "The Rock" runs for President and the republican primaries are settled in the ring.

So they should have a run a leftist in a GOP district? That's your reasoning for the failing of the Ossoff campaign?

Not sure why certain posters always nearly end up at the top of the replies, even when other users posts have more likes and retweets.

Some of these users end up with huge amounts of likes on their replies to Trump's tweets and when you look at their twitter profiles, they hardly have a following and their other posts have barely any one replying.

I strongly suspect some of these users are using bots as a way to try to make a name for themselves.

Yeah it's the oddest thing Trump has done so far but as you've pointed out Trump has already this year dropped one of the biggest non nuclear bombs in history on Afghanistan, the idea that now this badly edit GIF should worry us about the accountability of the most powerful person in the world is well a bit of a over reaction.

I mean...yeah, on the one hand it's sort of hilarious, but then on the other it is kind of inciting violence, is it not? Even if it's fake, wrestling violence.

I guess it is in a really stupid and clumsy way but at the same it's so amateurish and funny(He is literally punching the CNN logo)that it's hard to take seriously. That's not to excuse it(Although I guess I sort of am doing that)but CNN isn't actually under attack, it hasn't been shut down and it's reporters haven't gone to jail. The stuff Trump doesn't say is the same level if not more of a incitement of violence - when he won't distance himself from KKK members, when he doesn't talk or even mention attacks against muslims.

I also have very little sympathy for media commentators who now cry for democracy to defended but were more than happy to get in line when Trump decided to blow up parts of Syria and Afghanistan.

His constant attacking of the media is fascism 101.

He's basically turning Fox and Friends into state media and calling everything else fake.
Authoritarian for sure but I wouldn't call it fascist, CNN isn't actually under attack.

Fascism needs the consent of the people well a very large number of the people, Trump is deeply unpopular(And I image this tweet it add to that unpopularity)and he about to take away the little heath care american already have. Trump presidency is a quite blatant transfer of wealth, to make the rich even richer.

He's probably gonna put up this next. The GIF he just put was on The Donald Subreddit. This is from the same source.

You yourself agreed that everyone thought she'd win the night before the election. They were that close to getting their perfect candidate into office.

The fact of the matter is, the DNC much preferred having Hillary as president than Sanders, their mistake was their failure to win. You seem to be under the illusion that the DNC should have gone with the most popular candidate (debatable if he even is), but the fact of the matter is they'll always prefer to have their guy/gal and I'm sure they'll do it again in 2020.

Don't think she did that, she merely called them what they are, deplorables.
