On a non-selfish note... how much money is that going to lose American businesses who have started doing business with Cuba now?

E.g. Carnival opened several cruise routes recently out of Charleston that include a stop in Havana.

Starwood opened up properties in Cuba at a huge cost. I worked at Starwood during that time as a IT Consultant and although I wasn't involved in any effort, I heard it was a costly venture.

Why would Mueller agree to the meeting?

If it was just a day before the announcement of the special prosecutor then Mueller knew he would be handling the investigation once Rosenstein got in touch.

Sounds completely inappropriate for Mueller to have agreed to Trump's request for a meeting.

Just verifies that nothing he says means anything other than for the audience before whom he says at that moment. Unless of course it can be used against him in court of law.....or a special council investigation.

What I've heard is that Mueller went in as a courtesy to the president to politely decline the offer. He'd already been FBI director for 12 years.

That seems fair. Not sure he can be criticised for that at all if it's the case.

I think he just went there to sell arms. There were a bunch of letters of intent/interest to sell $110bn worth of arms to Saudi. So he sided with them and jumped on Qatar. That deal fell through. Now he's soft lining on Qatar to sell them $12bn worth of arms.
 
BTW, here are the projections of the Fed about the U.S. economy. Long-term growth rate= 1.8%.

Mueller's not happy with the leaks.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller, declined to comment for this article but said that “the Special Counsel’s Office has undertaken stringent controls to prohibit unauthorized disclosures and will deal severely with any member who engages in this conduct.”

It's practically impossible to keep things under lid in cases with high public profile just as this. The scope and amount of people involved ensure that there'd always be plenty of people who are willing to talk.
