Chiellini

Joke of a pic.

Who's place in the side is Rooney taking ? Ronaldinho is gullit, I assume Crespo is Van basten .... Joke of a pick , and you didn't update the list

That seems overly aggressive. I never said Ronaldinho is Gullit.. did I? Not to mention I already said I am not going to recreate the site by finding the best possible clone.

Well done @Gio

I greatly hesitated to pick him in the last rounds and naively thought he would be forgotten: my only one regret :(

De Rossi-Verratti: perfect duo to support your offensive players.

There goes all of my right backs

I don't think any of the Brazilians picked so far would be the right choice anyway. Djalma Santos was a proper fullback.

He doesn't pick Brazilians like you do with Englishmen.

Tottenhams-Harry-Kane-009.jpg

He slots right into this team beautifully. Many people remember goal-king Greaves being dropped for a "work horse" and "battering ram" but what most forget is that alongside that relentless work-rate and formidable physical presence, both Hunt and Hurst had equally formidable goal records with 200+ league goal careers. Harry Kane is already 1/4 of the way there at just 22 and has every other quality needed to slot in seamlessly.

I don't think any of the Brazilians picked so far would be the right choice anyway. Djalma Santos was a proper fullback.
I wanted Ramos tbh, he possesses the defensive attributes and technical ability required. Although their styles of defending are both very different. Having trouble finding the right guy for RB.

Great pick EAP !! He would be brilliant for Stoichkov position and hopefully will turn out be equally great in real life.

Wonder who's gonna take the obvious next person for scan votes

EAP is probably another United fan :D

From a tactical point of view, it makes sense. Deschamps considers him as an 'inside forward'

One of the greatest players of his time, Orsi was a quick left-footed winger, who usually played on the left flank, due to his crossing ability. A prolific goalscorer, he was an accurate finisher, both with his head and his feet, and he excelled in the air and acrobatically; because of this he was also capable of playing as a striker, and on the right flank, a position in which he was able to make diagonal attacking runs and shoot with his stronger foot. Nicknamed "Mumo", despite his lack of shooting power and physical strength, he was an extremely quick player, with excellent technical ability, who was renowned for his dribbling skills and his use of feints to beat opponents. He was also an accurate penalty kick taker.

Obviously hard to replicate with a modern player as Orsi was one of the best Juve wingers in history. A special player one in a decade.

Eden Hazard, although having just had a bad season(much like any other Chelsea player tho) is one of the special players in the last couple of years as well. Having a similar built and strength he relies on his pace, technique and ingenuity to dribble past opponents, score or set up his team mate.

He likes to cut in, his shot placement and technique is quite similar to Orsi and had scored an occasional header once in a while.

Not bad penalty taker either.

Highlights of some of his good days.
