Have found a load of good jobs (races, deathmatches, LTS and Captures) so will put together a couple of playlists tonight or tomorrow. Not sure of the player limits for each of the jobs, but will try to make it at least 8. That should be enough - plus it means we can all be in one party chat.

Would also like to do Humane Labs a couple of times over the weekend - the double RP and $$ is good through Sunday. After that, am assuming they will offer double on #4 Series A Funding - but since that is the weakest of the heists, am not all that interested in playing through that again. Will be interesting to see if they then offer up #5 Pacific Standard Job - would be a decent take from that if its double.

From a broader perspective, R* are obviously offering these double bonus weeks for a reason. The simplest is that they are purely looking to increase the number of people playing. This could lead to them selling more shark cards, but if so then it is strange to try to attract people in a way that gives these players a lot more money - which would decrease the need for them to buy shark cards.

I think it is tied to the next DLC content and that this will be something beyond additional vehicles, clothing and weapons. I think it could be one of the following:
  • Mansions - which would be expensive, but is apparently a much-requested feature. It would make sense for R* to enable players to build funds before something like this is released. But this would not offer anything that is genuinely 'new' or different.
  • Casino - if people will be able to gamble, then giving them a larger pot to start with makes sense. This would also offer some new gameplay elements - and could be tied to broader betting/gambling - such as racing for pink slips / betting their vehicles.
  • Mission Creator - something that I would really like to see. It would make sense for R* to encourage more people to play the game before they launch a new mode like this.
  • New Map / Areas - also something that would be very welcome. This is perhaps the most unlikely, or the most complicated. R* did say that they envisioned GTA Online to be something that they add to over time - and not just in terms of content but also area. I would not expect a new GTA game to be out until 2017/8, so if they want people to continue playing GTAO, then they need to give it a substantial refresh at some point. September will be 2 years since it launched - so would be a perfect time. This may also mark the end of them updating the PS3/360 versions of the game, so that they focus on current-gen.
  • Or it could just be them encouraging people to play different heists.
Any thoughts?

Really like the ideas of mansions and casinos, I think if they made the mansions that you could customise them so that everyone's could be individual would make it feel more like your own place to many of the apartments look the same

Casino! Mission creator would be superb but highly complicated, maybe too complicated.

Would it though? Most missions are 'Take A from point B to point C'. I guess you would have to have a way to adjust the behaviour of the AI enemies - but something simple like awareness range, movement range, weapon selection, accuracy etc should cover it (there is an outside chance that I am massively underestimating this...)

I think they have something similar in place for some of the game modes for AI - will have a look later. I still need to create my 1st person, on-foot, drunken, race back and forward across the freeway with traffic...

This was apparently found in the game code soon after launc:

1- Welcome to the Mission Creator. This Tutorial will teach you how to use the Creator to build your own Mission.
PEDS ( AI ) :
2- Places NPCs that can be set up with various rules to form Mission objectives.
3-Peds will by default only use Rocket Launchers against vehicles. Would you prefer if they target players on foot too? They will be given a suitable secondary weapon if equipped with a rocket launcher.
4-NPCs placed with the protect rule will have to be kept alive by players for a given time.
5-Set if the mission should fail for a team if this actor is killed.
6-NPCs placed with the rule set to none will not be part of the Mission objective. They will just be created as ambient NPCs.
7- Allows you to set spawning or NPC behavior to be linked to a rule from the Mission order Menu.
8- If Stationary till Combat, the ped will stay still until they enter a combat state. Then they will stay within the patrol range.
9-Add a Go To position which the actor will perform when activated, but before performing their action.
10-NPCs placed with the kill rule will have to be taken out by the players to complete the objective.
11-Sets the type of NPC .
12-This option will force an actor with an activation range to use a LOS check too.
13-Sets the type of weapon used by this NPC.
14-Sets the area the NPC will be able to move to. Set this to a low value if you want them to remain stationary or a large value if you want them to move around near their original location. Setting this at max will allow the NPC to wander or drive freely around the map.
15-Choose one of the set ped variations for the actor or leave as random.
16-The NPC will go to the closest entity that is active in selected team's rule. Once they arrive they will attack the entity. If destroyed they will move onto the next closest entity from the specified team's rule.
17-Alter their combat style.
18-The NPC will be friendly to this team and will aid you against any enemy targets.
19-If Free Movement During Combat, the ped will stick to their patrol radius until combat. Then they are free to move any where they want.
20-The number of times the NPC will be re-created if no longer valid. For example, will be respawned if killed, captured, delivered to a drop off, etc.
21-This sets the NPCs starting health. If set at 300% or more the ped will no longer die instantly from headshots.
22-The NPC will have no special behavior related to the selected team's rule.
23- This determines if the NPC should follow the player when objectives such as go to or capture are completed.
24-Does the Actor start with their weapon holsteered?
25-This sets which rule in the specified team's Mission order Menu is linked to the entity you are placing.
26-NPCs placed with the get and deliver rule will have to be collected by players and taken to the drop off location.
27-The next NPC placed will create a new Mission objective on the Mission order Menu rather than being added to the current objective.
28-The NPC will be hostile to this team and attack on sight.
29-For non Mission critical NPCs you can set the relationship to each of the teams. For example an NPC could be set to be hostile to team 1 and would attack on sight.
30-NPCs placed with the capture rule will have to be collected by players and captured by keeping them in your group until the control bar is filled.
31-Set this if you want the actor to flee from the player.
32-The player will have to get to NPCs placed with the go to rule.
33-The NPC will be neutral to this team and will only attack if provoked.

I'm sure R* use a mission creator to create their missions - it's just whether or not they open this up to everyone else to use.

You'll need to decide on what kind of character you're gonna be @philipc777. We have me, the racist fool. @Levo is the dickhead. @NotoriousISSY is the maniac. @swooshboy is the brains of the operation. @DatIrishFella is the angry Irish dude. @Big Red is the slightly less angry Irish dude and @One Night Only is the foul-mouthed drunk geordie who recently left his PlayStation on so long that it exploded and deep fried his granny.

Turns out I am already in it. Was in the rcaf one on ps3 and everyone showing up in it still now on ps4.

Playlists are fecking up - have a load of jobs bookmarked that we can try.

Should be a bit of everything - includes the longest race verified by R*, some cool team deathmatches, what looks like a couple of decent capture setups, and an underwater deathmatch in a car park with knives...

I doubt it tonight, besides doing some repairs on the r2 button which is stupidly designed internally, the inner pads have worn away I figured this out after wondering why I couldn't do burnouts.
