Would be ok with moving on to #5 if you want, but also happy to do #3 again, since it is double cash this week. Think it works out to about $500k each for the heist and setups.
Given that #2 was double last week, and #3 this week...wouldn't be all that surprised to see #4 and #5 get the same treatment soon.

question about the heists:
do you need to complete the heist in order to unlock the next one?
reason I ask is I'm trying to help out a mate who hasn't finished prison break yet but by doing so we are missing out on the double rewards.

Yeah, will be on about 5.30 I reckon.
I think you need to do them in order if you want to host them - but you can join any heist that some one else is hosting.
Are you having troubles with Prison Break, or just working through it? Would be up for helping out if you need an extra body.

Are you lot just heisting or will anyone but up for a playlist if I can put one together later on? Haven't GTA'd properly in too long.

I posted this a while ago - still haven't had the chance to try them out - hasn't been a load of us on for a while. These are the Rockets vs Insurgents LTS - like the Snipers vs Stunters. I would try the bottom one first - so maybe you could add this into a playlist?

to be honest I think the 2 lads i'm helping are struggling a little, last night they had trouble getting the schedule from the station, we could use with the extra body as we have 3 and always waiting on a random joining.

Not exactly the most relaxing experience - but genuinely felt a sense of satisfaction at the end of that!
We need to get back to doing races/stunters/lts etc. Was fun times.
I think playlists are the way forward. Screwing around in free roam is ok, but can get a bit tiresome - unless there is something specific you are trying to do. But that tends to be the score - then throw in a snipers v stunters. Has been ages since I did Maze Bank - would do that one again.
I know @DatIrishFella gets criticised for some of the playlists he discovers, but its good fun trying them! Think we should look for some more, or just create our own. As you said - mix in the different game modes.
Agree, as fun as robbing a bus and causing chaos on the freeway was, or driving a bus off the top of the maze bank was, they were done as side things. The races and shit kept us coming back. Think we get back on it.

The drunk effect is v good in this game - think I might create a race where the requirement is that you all have 10 beers before you can setoff. The race will locked to first person view and be a zigzag route across one of the freeways with traffic on.

Have found a load of good jobs (races, deathmatches, LTS and Captures) so will put together a couple of playlists tonight or tomorrow. Not sure of the player limits for each of the jobs, but will try to make it at least 8. That should be enough - plus it means we can all be in one party chat.
Would also like to do Humane Labs a couple of times over the weekend - the double RP and $$ is good through Sunday. After that, am assuming they will offer double on #4 Series A Funding - but since that is the weakest of the heists, am not all that interested in playing through that again. Will be interesting to see if they then offer up #5 Pacific Standard Job - would be a decent take from that if its double.
From a broader perspective, R* are obviously offering these double bonus weeks for a reason. The simplest is that they are purely looking to increase the number of people playing. This could lead to them selling more shark cards, but if so then it is strange to try to attract people in a way that gives these players a lot more money - which would decrease the need for them to buy shark cards.
I think it is tied to the next DLC content and that this will be something beyond additional vehicles, clothing and weapons. I think it could be one of the following:

- Mansions - which would be expensive, but is apparently a much-requested feature. It would make sense for R* to enable players to build funds before something like this is released. But this would not offer anything that is genuinely 'new' or different.
- Casino - if people will be able to gamble, then giving them a larger pot to start with makes sense. This would also offer some new gameplay elements - and could be tied to broader betting/gambling - such as racing for pink slips / betting their vehicles.
- Mission Creator - something that I would really like to see. It would make sense for R* to encourage more people to play the game before they launch a new mode like this.
- New Map / Areas - also something that would be very welcome. This is perhaps the most unlikely, or the most complicated. R* did say that they envisioned GTA Online to be something that they add to over time - and not just in terms of content but also area. I would not expect a new GTA game to be out until 2017/8, so if they want people to continue playing GTAO, then they need to give it a substantial refresh at some point. September will be 2 years since it launched - so would be a perfect time. This may also mark the end of them updating the PS3/360 versions of the game, so that they focus on current-gen.
- Or it could just be them encouraging people to play different heists.
