Michael Oliver

It's laughable that United fans think they're hard done to here. And I wanted you lot to go through because Chelsea are the bigger threat BUT I was glad you didn't after Mourinho sent you out to kick the shit out of the opposition. Horrible cynical tactics. And that's why Conte was so pissed off with him.

Both incidents were clear Yellows, Herrera is lucky he doesn't have 3-4 reds this season. Rojo stamped on Hazard too and should of been off. Oliver was kind to you!!!

Conte is class, Mourinho is trash
WUM alert!

Glad Mourinho mentioned all 4 games because I thought i was the only person who noticed

I'll give Oliver the benefit of the doubt for the Fellaini penalty against Everton, but he seems to make a big call against us in every game, while also denying us some stonewall penalties along the way

Herrera committed two offences... if you can even call the first an offence as Hazard runs in to him and he has no obligation to jump out of the way. Both were very soft yellow cards and that's the only two offences he has committed in the match.

How anyone can look at that objectively and think he deserves to be off the pitch is beyond me. It's killed the match and a decent referee shouldn't be looking for a reason to send someone off. You try to keep it 11 vs 11 but if someone leaves you no choice... fair enough. Oliver had to stretch to find a reason. Awful referee.

Perfectly put.

He let at least 6 to 10 worse tackles go, how tf can he think he's doing it right?

I can put up with refs missing things, nobody's perfect. But when they have access to all the facts and just make stupid decisions it makes you wonder how they've got where they are.

He really intimidated Hazard by not moving out of his way. The absolute madman.
He's moving, sees he's in hazard's route, stops and holds his ground so hazard smashes into him unprepared. He's doing that to deliver a hard hit, intentionally

Such a waste of Internet.

First yellow is soft IMO but they are sometimes given. I would have thought a freekick was enough if anything.

Second is ridiculous and just shows a bit of panic from the ref. I think he forgot Herrera was on a yellow and then obviously has backed himself in to a corner. Jones should have been booked prior.

You always know when a ref makes a bad call because he then tries to even it out - loads of our players should have been booked in the second half and he let a few tackles go that he shouldn't have.

Well how can you complain if he does it himself? That's the logic.

If he was a well hard bastard that stood and took tackles then fair enough, but he isn't. He got done at his own game.
What?

Let's play your silly tit-for-tat nonsense for second. He didn't get sent off because Hazard rolled around feigning injury and conned the ref (which is what you're implying) - he got sent off because Oliver is fecking bellend who looked to stamp his "authority" on the game..and royally fecked it up. Your logic is fecking stupid.

Strangely the second none United fan saw that as a yellow it's almost as if people not associated with United have a more impartial judgement.

I will re-iterate I was gunning for United to pull this one off because Chelsea are obviously the harder opponent.

Refs are supposed to protect players, we were hacking hazard at every chance and he explained that to the captain and main offender at length.

Pathetic that after another poor game all we can do is try to blame the ref.

How the hell was that a yellow? Hazard runs at him ffs.
It was the equivalent of a basketball screen. It's a yellow because it's a hard hit, intentional, away from the ball, and "stops" a dangerous situation

All of the remaining 5 sides before tonight's game were likely to beat you. You can't play non-league teams every round you know.

What?

OK.

Baffling post.

Over-eager, tenacious and a bit rash are all terms I'd use to describe him but 'cheat' certainly isn't one of them. Especially when you had the likes of Hazard and Costa on the same pitch.
Are you calling Hazard a cheat ??? The most fouled player in the PL who Never reacts .. Oh I see your name is Irrational that explains everything .Square root of two.

a genuine question here, when was the last time the PL had a decent ref? I couldn't come up with any name but a list full or morons.

So why does attacking players almost never getting a yellow for running at goalkeepers when they are to late for the ball?!!!!

6th place though
Been shit for a decade though.

6, coincidentally is 2 fifths of the amount of goals Bayern scored against you in your last three meetings post your annual achievement of a passport to Easter time humiliation whilst Wacky Wenger weeps into his World, symbolised here by a jacket that looks like a miserable caterpillar.

The second 'foul' he gave for Ander's sending off was never a yellow card. The first was borderline. He likes deciding United cup games Mr Oliver. Ask Di Maria...

Depends on the situation, but the key here is the foul was intentional and away from the ball. What you brits call a professional foul

I seriously hope we tell the FA not to let him ref our games anymore. He's obviously biased.

I really need to get a new username.

Seriously, Hazard doesn't even need an excuse to go down. A gust of wind could blow gently in his direction and he'd be yelling his lungs out clutching his ankle.

Are you forgetting how his cheating got your club doctor fired? He's on the same level as Suarez and Neymar, but ability-wise they're streets ahead of him.

Such is the state of the game thesedays anyway, it's probably a good thing. Win-at-all-costs mentality, try to get the opposition sent off. I also noticed how he suddenly transformed into Iron Man from a wet paper bag in the second half.

People saying both were yellow really need a look at themselves. Could you say Herrera fouled Hazard on both occasions? Answer is yes. But do tackles or fouls like that get a yellow card? Answer is no.
Multiple red cards every single game if that happened.

Good referees try to control the game, and dish out punishment only when it's absolutely warranted. Referees like Mike Riley would stop the game as many times as it takes to assert his authority. Oliver is just a snide little cnut that tries to act hard to win respect.

I thought the first was a free kick & a shrug of the shoulders. 2nd is a yellow if you want to be seen to be controlling the game - hopefully you'll be reffing well enough that it isn't necessary, :wenger:.

Herrera did walk into it I suppose.

Seems like every time though, innit? with the Mighty Oliver. I don't want any more.
