Michael Oliver

I am not sure what it will take for the club and the manager to come out publicly reporting Oliver for absolute bias in his decisions.

In the last two years alone:

-Today's shocker
-Sending Casemiro off when 5 players were scrapping
-Asking the ref to look at a challenge on Rodri by Hojlund that led to a penalty. Very soft
-Sending Dalot off for complaining about a throw in that he awarded wrongly
-not giving a stonewaller of a handball by Romero vs Tottenham
-failing to give a pen in the same game when Davies took out Pellistri

I often randomly remember when he had the little speed lines in his hair, a child haircut and he twenty something. cnut.

He took a headbutt from Joe hart and did nothing. But he sent off Di Maria for pulling his shirt back iirc.
And that was when he had been around for only couple of years.

Not that the club has the balls to do it, but what happens if it asks PGMOL to exclude Oliver from all United games?

The fact that this thread has been on for almost 11 years says everything about how Oliver has been for us.

I just don't see how a professional referee who sees that incident and thinks "Yep that's a foul" would be allowed to continue to referee games? Like, doesn't that speak to incredibly poor judgement?

At the very least they're must be a ref equivalent of a speed awareness course?

Not too long after that (possibly the next season) he told whoever our captain was in that FA Cup game against Chelsea that the next player to commit a foul was getting booked, then within seconds, before that information could be passed around, Herrera was sent off for a really soft second yellow.

I'm sure Mourinho called him out on his record of awarding penalties against us and sending our players off.

Officiating is just ruining the game, that shitshow today the the Liverpool game where VVD should have been sent off and arsenal should have had a pen, same with Sancho last week. Liverpool get away with it every fecking week.

Man City are cheats but that's not new information and nobody cares about them about from the monobrow ticket price hiking wankers.

I used to get mad now I just accept it and get on with my day, something isn't right.

I fecking despise the cnuts with a passion. In all seriousness, the refereeing in England is fecking disgusting. I hate how biased the referees are against us and in favour of the dippers

They’ve been biased against us for decades. It’s fecking unacceptable. It’s a bunch of butthurt men who are upset that we ruined their childhood.

I thought it was a 50/50 call for a penalty. I mean, not enough for VAR to say it was s clear and obvious error by the ref, but definitely one that I'd have been annoyed if wasn't given to us.

There, I said it.

He’s one of the main reasons why the last decade since Sir Alex retired has been so unbearable. Every season he has fecked us over whilst being inconsistent with other teams (except Man City).

It's becoming impossible to believe he can be so incompetent for over a decade now, which leads to the only other option - corruption. There's no way in hell that the same person gives a penalty today and not give a penalty for the Doku studs in chest last year v liverpool. It simply doesn't compute that an individual can get it so wrong on a consistent basis and not face any sort of punishment from the refereeing committee. Utterly bizarre.

Really? What was the offence that he supposedly commited? They both arrive at the same time as the ball bounces up between them.

It's not even close to being a foul.

Momentum with Ings, De Ligt steps across him. Not much to it, but not exactly a scandal.

It's a 50/50 ball. ,,

That doesn't mean you can just take someone out, like Doku did against Liverpool (incidently, no pen given by you know who), but punishing De Ligt for brushing someone with his knee is fecking ridiculous there.

I'm not even sure if De Ligt hasn't got the ball first. It's possible it has hit his knee before it hits Ings hand.

Looking at that sequence of ricocheting actions and deciding De Ligt is wholly in the wrong is just bizarre. Especially when the same ref has allowed Doku's challenge on Mac Allister in the past.

My annoyance and I assume its the same for others is that VAR say they do not want to re referee games. So with that said, what they did today is re refereeing.

Even ex Liverpool player Stephen Warnock and ex city player Micah Richards united in their condemnation of this "decision" on MOTD2.

Don’t make this about Liverpool. Oliver is a shit sandwhich that we all have to eat.
A kick to MacAllisters chest against City wasn’t called by him, remember? As far decisions go, both teams get fecked like the Diaz non goal. The list goes on and on. Everyone wanted VAR and this is what you get. The VAR ref can chime in anytime and influence a match and possibly a title race. Obviously there no one in charge to stop all this unless the teams start doing something serious but that’s not happening when you start comparing your injustices to your rivals. I think we’re all in agreement something is up with a few certain refs and VAR.

It's fair to say city have had some really nice treatment from Oliver in recent years.

Everyone did not want VAR. I was never convinced that those asking for it had really thought it through.

You've had calls in your favour the last two weeks, even Diaz should have been sent off today.

And we’ve been fecked in the past. So again, it’s not about favoring us against you with the refs. Do I think refs are biased? I think everyone is biased to some degree. It’s human nature. But when you have corruption it’s a whole different thing. When you have incompetent refs it’s a problem. Imagine both of those in the VAR booth. Having refs working in the UAE is disturbing. So if you keep harping it’s favoring Liverpool you’re barking up the wrong tree and will get no sympathy. Your mgrs in the past few years should have grown a set and spoke up instead of doing nothing. Again it isn’t you against us it’s all of us getting fecked over except possibly city? I wonder why

I agree it wasn't even a foul. The ball bounces off MdL's thigh first, then spins up as Ings collides into him. MdL got to the ball first, then Ings ran into him. If there was a foul, it was Ings fouling MdL.
