Not sure where he'd fit in with us... we don't play with a Number 10.

He'll stay and we reunite him with Klopp next summer. It'll be one big make-up and they'll all love each other again. We'll get a great picture in which Lewandowski hugs Klopp with Götze squeezed inbetween the two. Dortmund fans will go crazy, but still take it better than @Blackwidow who won't stop crying for years. Can't wait till it happens.

I would absolutely love it if we signed Gotze. Sadly, we have an abundance of players who play in his role - though he is probably better than all of them.

"far greater"? What's that based on? and where would you play them both to see this far greater performance? I think they'd both be very interesting.

Right player at the wrong time springs to mind, just doesn't make sense to go for him when we have so many players in that position, even if he's arguably a class above them all.
He was really good at Dortmund, helping them securing 2 titles and the Pokal, as well as becoming #1 in the group stages of the CL and defeating Real Madrid in the semi-finals. That was definitely a different Götze than the one at Bayern.

I wouldn't disagree with that statement at all, De Bruyne has had a terrific season for Wolfsburg. Just a few days ago provided the assist for Bendtner's equalizer against Bayern.
De Bruyne has only really had one excellent season, and Gotze's last season at Dortmund was probably still better than it. De Bruyne is arguably the better player at the moment but I still think Gotze's the more talented of the two and I certainly wouldn't write him off yet. It just never went right for him at Bayern.

Don't think that's true. Götze never had a season as great as De Bruyne last year. But Götze is a year younger, so who knows what happens this year.

A bit of both. It's been mentioned quite a few times, especially since Watzke publicly gave his permission and said Klopp would be a success at Bayern. I fully expect it to become a big big rumour over the next few months unless Guardiola signs a contract extension.
My only concern with Gotze would be whether he has it in him to deal with the physicality of the league. The Bundesliga is no spring chicken in this regard but he he's a small lad and its worse here.

Could of said the same for Silva and Ozil to for example, Even Mata. But they have found it ok.
If he's quicker than Mata then it may be worth looking in to, but as of now I'm not really sure he'd even start here either. I'm not sure he'd get in over any of Memphis, Pedro, or Mata based on his time at Bayern.

He actually isn't that soft or thin. He's not muscular or stocky either but he knows - kinda like Hazard - how to protect the ball with his body and I think he'd be strong enough for the PL.
I think he'll leave Bayern if it won't work out for him there this season and I'd say he wouldn't have problems adapting to the football in either England or Spain. But I don't think United needs him right now and with Mata in his position it wouldn't make sense for United to pay the heavy sum Bayern would want for him.

I dont think its as much about their build as it is about the mentality to take the initial hit and work to adapt to the league. Not give up like a pussy.
I think he might leave this season if a club like ours comes calling. Don't think Bayern will want a price we'd baulk at if Pep gives the green light. The "I need to see if the coach will talk to me" quote is quite telling.
He can play as easily on the left as through the middle. We have enough space for another attacker especially one as good as him.
I agree, but it is all a matter of context. Götze never had a team build around him like de Bruyne in Wolfsburg. They are also not exactly the same type of player. De Bruyne has almost the touch of a classic #10; someone who pulls all the strings for a team. On the other hand Götze is more comfortable to have the ball without space. Both could play in the same team and complement each other. I don´t mind if someone fancies one or the other, but Götze is incredibly talented and many people seem to forget that. He is still the most talented German youngster. I have little hope for the next year, because Pep uses him in a really weird way, but sooner or later he´ll live up to his talent.
+Klopp wont be out next manager.
