Lets be honest he's going nowhere. Amorim will be gone before him, mark my words.

Hate to see him play when we are chasing for a goal.
His lack of fight/involvement/pressing just make us even less likely to get a comeback.

As a Rashford supporter the walking away from the away fans before anyone else is the first time ive recognized that he is self centred.

Think his time is up because he is playing like the aged version of Michael Owen who lost all his speed and abilities except a few inconsistent goals.

Im not fustrated about his wages as much because he was our best player during a certain time period and him being offered that contract was not his fault as seen with Sancho's & Casemiro's contracts aswell.

However, Rashford & Casemiro moving would recycle our wage structure & maybe thats good for our future.

One of the worst cameos I've ever seen. Nothing came off for him.
And he was doing his usual “jog as if he is trying”. Never seen anyone who had such lack of interest to support his team and teammates.

the thing that baffles me the most is that he was a United fan growing up.
Why would a player not put in an effort to help the team you support?
You can see players-United-fans like Beckham, Giggs, Nevilles, Butt,Welbeck Cleverley Bruno Ighalo, even Lingard etc tried their best on the pitch when they played for us, but I cant see from him. It seems like he just doesn't care if we win or lose

Sadly, this will very likely be the outcome.

Just about every manager who put their faith in Rashford has been sacked.

Unfortunately you can’t do much about lack of footballing IQ and desire.

Haven't watched the game, was he really that bad? Reading the comments, it's really worrying, we all know he is not a top class player, and he will never be one, that much is non arguable, but I was hoping he would be a productive attacker that can be decent for us this season.

Wasn't horrid, wasn't good. Complete lack of impact really or any sort of threat to Arsenal.

He's just not a very good player. There are endless wars going on in this thread daily about "abuse" or his good seasons in the past or mental state, but the reality is it's hard to overstate having a marquee forward on 350k a week perform to the standard of your average mid table forward and what that does for squad building/composition. Too many seem unwilling to accept or realize that. Sure he can still score some goals for us this season (it'll probbaly have to be playing off of Zirkzee), but the days of hoping he'll rediscover his youth or turn back into a starman are over even if the name value still says otherwise.

Agreed, for me he was never a star, had good seasons but never consistently good, and our problem is that he is a top earner, I think he is top 5 earner in the league let alone at United, I think only Cas, Salah, KdB, Haaland earn more than him, Cas came here as a 4 times CL winner and was already earning similar wages at RM, the other 3 have 2 PL greats and one in the making if already not, he earns as much as these top players, sadly we are stuck with him until his contract expires or he is sold for a decent fees.

Yes. I think some (casual) fans have overread and overrated peak scoring stats.
Darren Bent scored 24 goals in EPL and no one regarded him as world class.
Just because Rashford had two seasons scoring 17 league goals doesn't make him world class.

I don’t like him. His apparent arrogance is infuriating. Unless he quickly improves under Amorim in a new system I have no issue with him being sold for a low ball 10m…genuinely

His performance last night was awful.

But…I have some sympathy for him conceding the corner. It wasn’t a mistake such as gifting the ball away with a terrible pass. He slipped. Can happen to anyone on a wet pitch.

I don't think he's touchable. By either us or any other club that might considered signing him in the past.
This is going to be a looong story.

The enthusiasm for the game from a player that was so refreshing to see as a teenager is long gone.
We are well past the time he should be sold

What hurts me the most is the fact that he’s from the area, been at the club since 8 and plays like we just woke up from bed. This guy should be Mr Manchester United ffs!
When you look at these things then consider he’s on outrageous wages, it’s tough to stomach.

We are playing against a team who are excellent from corners, so don’t give them corners. WTF was he doing before their second goal, trying to be clever, just kick it against Odegaard, lack of intelligence.

Can't believe he's still here. Guess this stuff takes time to sort out with all the other deadwood that had to leave but I really really hope Amorim isn't as daft as ETH in putting his faith into this guy.

He has a huge contract which would need paying off to get rid of him so either amorim uses him or relies on the likes of garnacho.

We might be able to get rid in summer but guessing the cost might mean us not signing someone

That sums up Rashford. An unintelligent footballer. It's more obvious now that he's lost the physical edge and desire.

A player with no football IQ. Yesterday showed great evidence of this.

The ball was not near the corner flag before he won it.. he then does some silly things and thinks... let me try something fancy and gives away a silly corner.. Arsenal score.

Such a frustrating player, should be dropped just for that action, knowing how good Arsenal are on corners and the trouble they caused in that game.

This guy has bags of talent but unfortunately has a heart of a kitten. I mean like something is seriously wrong with him psychologically. Soon as he came on, he pulled out of a 5050 challenge with fecking Saka of all people. Last season this fixture, think a similar thing happened when he ducked out of a challenge which led to Jesus scoring. But you get the idea, there are way too many 5050s he is simply afraid or chosee not to contest. It is infuriating to see.

He is protected inside the club and he is on a contract that makes him unsaleable. Going nowhere. Just get used to it. Too bad for this coach, though.

Rashford doesn't need to be given minutes if he's not putting in the effort unless it's a clause in his contract.

We have many options for those attacking midfield positions.

He's not the reason we lost the game. But he didn't help us much, or himself either..... If as had been suggested, he was in his feelings because he didn't start.... That's not the way to win the haters over (nothing likely will tbh). Hopefully it's not that, and anyway I trust the manager et all to handle it and only play him on merit....

Nothing new to be said but it's a shame, let the pile on commence.

I don't think so. Unless he shows significant improvement, he'll be sold, even for pennies. Keep in mind, there are financial reasons to sell him, not just performance-related considerations.

Yeah that’s probably his single biggest flaw. He’s six foot plus and built but he’s probably the most lightweight looking striker in the league. Comes off second best in every single physical challenge. And that’s when he isn’t avoiding them completely.

It’s all so strange. Stuff like running hard and punching your weight in a duel isn’t difficult to do. You don’t need to be on a good run of form to do any of that. And it’s something most players fall back on if they’re struggling in front of goal or creatively. With Rashford it’s the first thing to fall away. Bizarre.

Would love to see him moved on in Jan but a lot of things would have to fall into place for that to happen. Hopefully he's gone by the summer at the latest.

Putting in a half decent display once in a blue moon against inferior opposition is not good enough.

It's felt like he's been scared of physical contact ever since his back injury, and then utterly terrified of it since his shoulder injury. He was never someone who'd throw his weight around but I don't remember him chickening out of all physical contact earlier in his career.

He did play on quite a bit while having those injuries so I can understand it at those times (although as far as I'm concerned if he was that worried about physical contact the manager shouldn't have been playing him anymore until he heals), but they were years ago now. Either he's still mentally scarred from them or it's completely unrelated and he just doesn't care enough to risk getting any kind of little knock at all.

For some reason this clip reminds me of Rashford, plenty have tried and failed to get him going, but maybe someone just needs to point out the obvious.

Glad a pundit is finally calling it out, and typical that it would be Keano. He is not of the required level, he is supposed to be our Salah but is so far from that it is a joke. I am tired of the excuses people give and the switch soon as he scores a couple of goals - he has been so poor for so long that it will take multiple seasons of top quality for me to back him as a starter without expecting he will let us down, because that is his norm.

To progress we need to get a number of top quality forwards that actually produce and not have fans scraping the barrel for positive contributions like I see with some of our forwards - Rashford and Hojlund especially.

Exactly this. Lots of rumour of this and that. Lot's of people don't need an excuse for a pile on.

He plays like he knows his time here is done.

This is what happens when you give the keys to a club to a player who isn’t worthy of it. United as a club are so desperate to have homegrown stars. You can tell he knows the expectation is just too much for him and he has nowhere to hide now.

In his time here he’s been given the status and rewards that are only reserved for world class players. Go back a few years ago and the excuses were managers, a back injury and his relationship status. We never held him accountable in his early twenties so I find it funny to start complaining about him now after spoiling him rotten all these years.

It’s great to have youth prospects in the team but they shouldn’t be rewarded undeservedly or else what you get is Rashford. I’m seeing it slowly repeat with Garnacho but Amorim seems to have a lot more sense than previous managers and won’t let that happen.
