Great to have him in form heading into the Arsenal game. Rashford is usually a streaky scorer. I think he's been decent overall this season. He's clearly trying harder even under ETH.

Quietly having a pretty strong start to the season. Just about on track for another 30GA season and averaging a goal or assist circa every 130 minute.

Again as I've already said he played well today which I'm delighted to see, so I for one have no issues with his performance. All us United fans want to see, or should want to see, is our players play well week in and week out and the team by extension do well.

I don't understand why everyone who was critical of him before for very valid reasons is get shot down in here all the time, it's ridiculous.
It’s simple. Because a significant amount of the criticism wasn’t ’very valid’ whatsoever. It’s was incredibly toxic and even nasty,

I really don't understand your attitude, I'm trying my best to be reasonable here with ye all, and ye are just being arseholes. Making the football forums unbearable to post your opinion in at all.

Just take the L and move on it's not that deep

Yeh I completely agree with that, some posters clearly have an agenda unfortunately.

I found in hard to bear when everything Rashford did was overly scrutinised, mocked, ridiculed, criticised etc

Can't understand why he still receives that amount of hate. Nobody would say this has been a bad performance if it was any other player. MR is a striker. His job is to score goals, he scored 3 in the last 2 games. Hope he keeps going with that.

His goal celebration should have been a big grin with his new grills in really..... Missed opportunity

Yeh I agree with you there, especially everything around the way he was dressing and everything, that was ridiculous.

I think some of your posts were unnecessarily mean spirited in respect of Rashford, so I can see why there’s a bit of a reaction after he’s had a great game.
Were they? I didn't think so. I just have a problem with players who don't put the effort in on the pitch, doesn't matter who that player is.

I remember watching games where he was running hard, closing down the keeper, making plenty of runs in behind, only to come into his thread, and read about how lazy he was, and how he had a terrible attitude. I noticed a real disconnect between what I was watching, and what I had been reading.

Yup, make him back into a 30 goal striker and then.... Checks notes.... Whut?
That’s if he makes 30 goals, but I certainly hope so as that will mean we get decent money back to be reinvested into the squad.

I’d imagine Amorim and our new recruitment team will make the best decision for the incoming and outgoing that fit into the long term plans and unlike some fans who can’t get past G/A.

Well I don't think I've ever called him lazy, I definitely have said things about his general attitude on the pitch sometimes though, but those kind of things are just opinions which I think are completely reasonable whatever side of the fence you're on.

As I said I completely agree on the more ridiculous things people have complained about in here, and they are more than likely pure agenda based crap unfortunately.

People's opinion on Rashford has been massively influenced by what other people have said about him. Yes, he's been poor at times but so has everyone.

Why doesn't someone like Dalot have three or four different threads on here when he goes on holiday during time off? I'm not sure any other player attracts such a weird level of analysis. Even when he plays well and scores twice, there's a bizarre level of negative spin on this thread.

Yeah this is my feeling too.

So are we still up for selling him this week or have people come to their senses yet?
Depends on which way the wind is blowing on whatever day it is with our fans. Him and The big fella up top both took their chances well. I'm amazed at how well Ruben and Co are working with the players and playing them to their strengths and keeping a system. ETH had me thinking it wasn't possible.

He was good today, but going back and saying the criticism of him wasn't warranted is a joke. He needs to be in this kind of form consistently for his age, status in the squad and money he's being paid. He's had like 4 or 5 good games in the last 50.

That being said, I hope he keeps it up because if he's in form, it's very good for us and it keeps Garnacho on the bench who has been dreadful lately.

For like 20 minutes was sitting there thinking wow he’s been awful, probably needs just some time away from the game. Then gets a lucky goal and still wasn’t great but 2nd half suddenly showed signs of life and actually played quite well.

Do think first half we were struggiling due to himself, Bruno and Zirkzee not working hard enough to get back in. Actually there was a bit in the first half where he and Amad are closing someone down, Rashford is closer and looks like he is going to put a foot in, so Amad holds back but for whatever reason Rashford just gave up and passed it off to Amad who then had to fight to get back at the player. Rashford just half jogging back having given up.

That needs to stop but it was good to see him 2nd half looking like he was having fun for once out on the pitch. Difference a goal makes.

And there you have it. Like clockwork!

To be fair, United as a whole have probably only had like 4-5 good games in their last 50.

These are the same posters that constantly cry about toxicity on the forum, by the way. Then they come in here and create it when Rashford is finally getting some praise for a rare solid performance.

It goes both ways, though, to be fair. That same poster has used phrases like ‘Rashford Defence League’ in the past. It’s really not helpful and just adds to the toxicity on the forum.

Imagine United fans being happy about a players performance. Toxic as feck

I knew the prime culprit would come out of the shadows.
You guys are incredibly soft...

I made a post a few days back asking why positivity and support triggers you guys so much, nobody tried to answer it obviously... but it's baffling. Truly odd

He's been shite for a long time. He wasn't shite today. He played well. I hope he continues playing well and gets back to top form.

You invent this stuff in your head, nobody is being triggered. It's really not that complicated. If a player on the wage Rashford is on starts to actually deliver goals and performances similar to wingers/forwards on the same wages in the league, nobody will have any issues with Rashford and the positivity will flow.
