Huh? For every one Rashford, how many strikers do we need to run through the academy mill? How many strikers has the academy produced that has started?

Great strikers are just very rare. That's why they cost so much. Even Falcao who had a fantastic record isnt a sure thing.

Look, all I am saying is we have to spend wisely. Because our spending can not be sustained if the club keeps on struggling. We have a young player who we bought from the same club Mbappe is playing for £60m, who we don't know if he is going to flop or not (although he's showing all the signs). Why should we buy Mbappe for over £100m when we can get Griezmann for £85m?
Certianly looks the real deal. Doubt we'd go in for him having similar players in Martial and Rashford. If anything Jose will probably opt for a powerhouse type striker like Lakaku to lead the line Or if that fails maybe Griezmann could be coming to support Ibra.

He's the real deal. There is gonna be a great battle for him this summer. Monaco will never be able to keep him.
It does seem like these talents come and go, don't they? First Odegaard was supposed to be the next generational talent, now it's Mbappe.
I really think he should stay for a bit longer. He is not losing anything being there. Clubs will still be after him next summer. And he will learn so much at Monaco, be competing for titles and still playing in the CL.
No doubting he is a very exciting player, but Jose has his hands full with Martial/Rashford at the moment.
