Kylian Mbappé | Player Performance Thread

To be fair there's 4 or 5 I'd take from this Monaco team, mbappe is definitely one of them

Forget about Mbappe for a moment, hire Monaco's academy scouts/coaches.

Agree to both of the above. The assembled team is fast & very entertaining to watch. Of course, they might really suck next year after selling a third of their team, but it would be interesting to see if they continue to put a similarly attacking team next season.

Figure at least Mbappe, Fabinho, and probably Silva are out the door in the summer.

Martial was an anomaly in the final days of a transfer window where we desperately needed to replace Di Maria. He certainly doesn't represent our transfer strategy under Woodward when we've been out bringing in Pogba and Di Maria whilst making stupid unattainable bids for Neymar, Mueller and Bale.
Woodward just does what the manager wants. He's not well liked by some people because he spends a lot of money, but then again he makes a lot of money so it doesn't matter.

Will go to Barcelona or Real. Would be a good Ronaldo replacement.

But we should pay whatever it takes to get him here this summer. Potential multiple Ballon d'Or winner.

He seems very, very direct, Sir Alex would be liking the look of him.

I can't see Barca signing him this summer, MSN are doing fine.

Real are a possibility, with the French links with Zidane, but would he want Mbappe leading the line? I'm not so sure. Zidane made special mention about Moussa Dembele, perhaps they'll sign him to play understudy to their main forward.

I hope Mourinho would go in for him, we'll have to see.

Would love him here. Him and Martial upfront would be ridiculous.

He's exactly what we need. Always making runs. Sad part is that, Martial's refusal to make runs is what is holding him back. This kid reminds me of Neymar a little. very good at making runs from wide areas

He would be great at Dortmund or even Atletico. Teams that are coached properly. Mourinho would ruin him and make him a quasi fullback because the man has no positibe attacking football in his bone.

What a ludicrous statement. We've been the most attacking side we've been since Fergie left. We're creating so many more chances than previously.

Our trouble is finishing, and this kid seems lethal in front of goal.

Next Cristiano Ronaldo, me thinks.

Well taken tap in after missing a one on one and four or five losses of possession with zero times dribbling past his man. Cocks out.

Flacid cock time if Kevin the scout master supreme doesn't like him.

None of the chances I've sen you create are quality. Soothampton outplayed you and created more clear cut chances. Your team creates half chances that people mistake for quality chances. He is a very negative coach compared to Jardim. If Mourinho coached Monaco they would be a different team because of the way he coaches.

Go back watch him in the first game, people forgetting he's only 18

I love watching him run. He's like a horse with those long legs. Looks proper class.

The other two walls are covered in stained Rooney pics...worry not!

 Well he can take the Ronaldo route with some succesful years at United and then moving on for a record breaking deal

Oi oi...more likely to happen the other way round nowadays!

So Real-bound it's not even fun anymore. Would love to see him becoming Real's #9 though, even though I dislike them alot. He's sensational.

He looks like he's off balance at times but he never is, it's odd. He's fast as feck and direct, would love him here but as has been said before he's real bound in a few years imo.

Atletico.

His next move will most likely be Barca or Madrid at this point.

Agree with some of the above. He's nailed on to go to Real Madrid for me in 2-3 years if he keeps improving. He probably will replace his icon too, as I see Ronaldo becoming a CF for the next few years with Benzema going.

I wouldn't rule out his going to an English club simply due to the financial power many English clubs hold. United aren't gonna be outbid by many teams on purely financial terms. If he really wants to go to Madrid that's another matter.

We played poorly against Southampton, and were lucky to win the match. Anyone will admit that. We hardly played well.

Over the course of the season however, we've created 44 big chances. City have created 49, whilst Chelsea have created 30. So we are creating a good amount, but we aren't finishing them.

Real Madrid pay higher contracts than we do at this very moment. For world class stars at least. Ronaldo and Bale are on almost double than what Ibra and Pogba are on for example.

We very tired against Southampton who are also a very well coached team under Puel that managed to outplay Liverpool and Arsenal on the way to that final. Mbappe should stay where he is for at the very least another season.

Bare in mind though, in Spain clubs own the players image rights so tend to over pay to compensate for that, hence why the like of messi, Ronaldo, bale, Neymar are on double what the likes of ibra and pogba are on.

Good point, yes.

Except, madrid owns 30% of cristiano's image rights, i dunno how much with bale. Messi owns 100% of his image rights, and i think neymar's the same

multiple Ballon d'Or winner.[/QUOTE]
Not sure about multiple, but i'd be really surprised if he doesn't win at least one.

Guys what about Rashford? we buy him, we might as well sell the rash.

We seem to have a good relationship with Monaco. We can structure a deal similar to the Martial one with plenty of add-ons.

They will alternate as they're both young, in a few years we move to a 2 striker system with Martial playing outwide as a LF, easy.

We once had Tevez Rooney and Ronaldo so I don't see how we could not accommodate 2 young players who both can play anywhere across a front 3. I'd be more worried about Martial.

Except if Madrid goes after him you won't have a chance. Considering how big a fan of Madrid he is.
He seems more of a Ronaldo fan than a Madrid fan. Ronaldo moved to United at a similar age and developed into the monster of a player that he is now. So, that might have an influence on him. Also, players make decisions based on what is best for their career. Everyone knows that going to Madrid at such a young age is a big risk. He might ultimately end up in Madrid but I can see him move to some other club first to further develop as a player.
