So is it just his raft of Ronaldo posters that has everyone in this thread convinced he's Real Madrid bound?
No no and no again. But buying both would be exciting but I'm afraid we need our money to cover other areas like a midfielder but by God it would have us all on our edge of our seats with those two in the team.
Tha fans are the owners. And it was always known that the bernabeu is a harsh mistress. As for money, we currently have two players who are on higher wages than anyone in the premier league. Soon to be 3 if the rumors about benzema signing a new contract are true. As for our last huge signing -2014, when we signed the world cup's standout performer-. And that's mostly because A) the De Gea fiasco in 2015 and B) Zidane won the CL and Perez listens to him.
Freaks me out that the only way people can discuss a player nowadays is to introduce another player and start a circle jerk.
I wouldn't mind if people were merely comparing and contrasting. But this incessant need to generate this mythical tiered rating system is ridiculous.

Dumbfounded that people can't just discuss one players merits, their potential, their latest video, transfer rumour or interview.
For what it's worth, Mbappe looks to be the real deal. I love watching him because he has that absolute directness. The original Ronaldo showed that same attitude of "Right. I've got the ball, how can we score from here". I love dribblers that take the ball forward as often as possible. This kid has that mentality and he can finish too. Really looking to see how he develops. Would be good to see him play another season in Ligue 1 next year. No reason at all for him to go elsewhere right now. If he could get another 40-50 matches under his belt before any move he'd come on in leaps and bounds.

I still prefer Martial due to being a goal scoring wide man, there doesn't seem to be many from the next generation who can do that.
This kid is a centre forward. If he continues his progress he will be a killer through the middle.

Atletico? Mbappe isn't some unknown, City had a 40 million bid for him rejected last summer before he burst into first team.
It's always very likely that Griezmann preferred to stay in Spain and play for a team he'll be an immediate starter. Transfers are reliant on a lot of things, it's not as easy as some fans portray.
Then we become Dortmund, a finishing club for others.
We should be aiming to have these players in our side in their prime. You don't see Madrid / Bayern /Madrid dominating Europe with young sides or cryint about not signing Monaco's best player.
When he gets the ball something happens.
Forget about Mbappe for a moment, hire Monaco's academy scouts/coaches.

The only other European clubs that can pay the fee he'll court are United, Chelsea & City. Can't see him joining any of us if Madrid/Barca are sniffing.
Martial was an anomaly in the final days of a transfer window where we desperately needed to replace Di Maria. He certainly doesn't represent our transfer strategy under Woodward when we've been out bringing in Pogba and Di Maria whilst making stupid unattainable bids for Neymar, Mueller and Bale.
Players want to move, its rare to have a young player from abroad stay at a club for many years.
Will we go back in time and build our side full of stockpiled youngsters such as Reyes / Bojan / Barkley / Stones etc? Even Shaw was a must have.
Its rare that every great player over the next decade are playing right now, we could sign every top youngster from 18 to 21 and still not have the best of the next generation.
Martial and Mbappe is a case in point. Hell it was Dembele who was must get last summer.
Lets just see how they develop instead of stockpiling youngsters who don't even come cheap anyway. The price of these young players is ridiculous, there is no advantage in it.

There is an advantage to it if we're competing with Dortmund for their signature rather than Real Madrid and Barca few years down the line.
Also I'm not saying buying every player that's a flavour of the month but we could definitely do with a better transfer strategy as posters already said in this thread.
Martial is still more talented than Mbappe for me, basing it on 10 matches i have seen of Mbappe.
Looks like a fantastic talent. The French U21 front three of Martial, Mbappé and Dembele could really become something special.
