Because you are desperate for a RM or a #10 and we got him.
We are desperate doesn't change the fact that we are overpaying for the player. I would think you guys are even more desperate given the player wants nothing more to do with your club and wants to leave by all means. It would be in Dortmunds best interest to sell quickly.

;)

It was clear from the beginning: Watzke claimed it wont happen and there has to be a fee like that one from Hummels, and so it will be i think. A pity for us, loosing him just as he begins to play like everybody wants to see. I really adore his skills. But on the other side we -as the BVB- have to discuss the dissapointments he made in the last weeks. It was like in that article: Didnt take resposibilty in the penalties while our defenders, who never shoot one, have to step up and shot them, was hard to see. Tuchel was disappointed, we all were, dispite loving him for the great season he gave us. Then the storys and the behavoiur of Rantiola comes out, and doesnt fit to the picture we made of him for ourselfs: an intelligent, humble, sensitive player who would be thankful and aware of the situation that finaly he found a coach who gets everything out of him. That surprised everyone, in a bad way. Thatswhy the majority is now glad to see that we get a record fee again and can use it to (re)build up our squad ,for the first time with Tuchel in charge.
Fair enough. Yeah next year will be tough for you guys with so many key players leaving and with Reus injured for so long. It could well be a transition season, where the likes of Mor and Dembele get used to the league. I think it'll be very interesting to see who you replace Miki with, as I feel it will have a big effect on how you perform next season.

I'm just glad we're going to get a conclusion to all of this soon seeing as how stubborn Dormund have been. Guaranteed, if Bayern were interested, they would've sold him for £20M weeks ago and thrown in Rues in there to sweeten the deal.

Hummels went for 38m and is a defender. And why is it not understandable that Dortmund will be more reluctant with every further top player leaving. Of course if you haven't sold a top player yet they are thinking, yeah it's only one key player. But after Hummels and Gündogan they don't want to lose another one and try their best to get as much money as possible if they can't convince him to stay. It's really not that strange and people should stop with all the Bayern bla bla comments, we wouldn't do anything different in their situation and we are just to late to the party, if we would have signed him before Bayern bought Hummels and City Gundogan it could (maybe) have been easier,

Happy with the deal, the few millions doesn't matter. When I see Mane or that Batshuyi guy beeing bought for similiar fees or more I don't really care that much about the money. 32m euros would be a great deal, 40m would be ok I guess. Hummels went for a similiar fee earlier and had also only one year left and I expect a higher price for an attacking player.

I get the Bayern thing if its just a forum running Joke

, but do you realise that of the 3 players that have moved to Bayern from BVB

one had a buy out clause they could do nothing about

the second was a free agent which they denied selling the year before and rather lost him for free than selling him for the low ball amount Bayern was asking

the third was sold with one year left on his contract for phenomenal amount of money considering he only had a year left on his contract and only wanted bayern?

they arent exactly bending over backwards every summer for them.

Hmm, if you discuss it point by point:

Gündogan: Was mostly injured the 2. part of the season and we never missed him (also we had to deal with the fact that he was missing for more than one season, and it was ok). Maybe the cup final against Buy€rn would have happend in the other way with him. Maybe. But we got more points than Buy€rn in the 2. part of the season, mainly without him.

Hummels: Cant keep his mouth shut, saying stupid things sometimes as he want to claim how intelligent he is. Made a lot of mistakes which leads to goals against us. Is 27, and sometimes lacks of leadership we want to see from him as a captain. Tuchel never complained about him leaving, for reasons i think. Let him go for a massive fee and getting Bartra from Barcelona is no bad decision i guess.

(For the fee of this 2 guys alone we got: Weigl, Rode, Merino, Dembele, Mor. )

Micki: Our best player of the season by far. Really hurts us. It only depends who we get as a replacement.

Thx! The hilarious cluelessness in here which is used to try to make jokes, gets to much sometimes.

Either Götze or Schurrle from the looks of it. Would you be happy with either one of those or do you want someone better?

Might have been posted before. But this one shows how he does all the basic things correctly. Many times when on the counter players pick out the wrong pass even when they have out numbered the opposition. Or even when picking out passes or crosses in the box. Either way here we go:

@slig if he wasn't in the last year of his contract how much do you think he would be worth/what the club would sell him for?

It's not a phenomenal amount of money at all anymore. Especially for your captain and leader, a World Cup winning defender still in his prime years.

fair is fair. I love a good joke but it should at least make sense. A good joke is one where you change position on the miki transfer everytime the news shifts and we laugh at it

You think he had a far better season than Aubameyang ?

We are overpaying for a player in their last year of contract, why wouldn't I care if I support the club. I find this question very daft.

We are getting the Bundesliga POTY who got 21 goals and 20 assists and you are whining about us overpaying in his last year of contract?
Some folks are just impossible to please.

I dont care that much about why you care, I just find your posts stupid.

23 goals and 32 assists but 11 goals and 15 assists came in the Bundesliga.

Considering De Bruynes Fee...like the De Bruyne fee i guess... Mickis stats and games were at least good as that from De Bruyne or better.

30 million pounds for a defender that only wanted to go one place? who also hasnt been that great in the past season... yes thats pretty damn good

Great, that's our #10 sorted out. Let's get a right winger as soon as possible.

Yes. Auba was not so good in the 2. part of the season like in his phenomonal 1. part. Micki was steady the engine of our playing, always a thread to the opponents, defensivly and at attack.

Wow, what an output!
23 goals and 32 assists is really something...Sounds like exactly the type of creative force we need and I am glad we are getting him :)

The thought of him creating so many chances for Ibrahimovic and Rashford is mouth watering.

Out of the 3 deals they probably stood firmest on the Lewandoski one letting his contract run but Hummels and Gotze deals were wrapped up in a flash. I know you think they aren't bending over which is fine of course but I fully expect more players to go there. Rues in particular.

Fair enough. But in your shoes i would ask myself why nobody wants a player from the current United (with the liitle exeption of DDG), especialy top-clubs... rather than try to laugh about a club which is playing fantastic football you could dream of, and there for loosing sometimes players to the few clubs which stands financialy over them yet.

Great signing. My only concern comes from shades of Kagawa and Dortmund.

All in all seems like an upgraded version of Mata.

Plenty of clubs would want our players. Just because no one makes an offer or publicly shows interest doesn't mean no one wants our players. That's a bit of a silly thing to say really.

Because it is near about impossible to buy a player from United that we don't want to sell unless the player's contract is running down. Would PSG not want Martial, but they know that there is no point in even trying. Same with any other decent player that we have (Do we have any?).

Yeah Micki will be a big loss. You think he was that much better than Auba (who won Bundesliga player of the year)? I agree, the fees that you got were great, but I don't feel the players you've brought in (so far) are the same quality (for next season anyway). E.g. Bartra for me is more of a squad player and has really stagnated for a few seasons (may well be due to the lack of game time). So I think next year will be tough, especially with Leverkusen on the rise that they showed in the back end of last season.

I dont know one player which the journos are crazy about from the current United and who would walk into the "first" sqaud of any top-club. Little exeption is maybe DDG. There is no worldclass player in the current squad. More than that, there is no wordclass playing as a team.

I see where he's coming from though, if Mkhi was as determined to come here as his agent says then why not agree personal terms now and do the paperwork in Jan, offer him €5m as a signing on fee. He gets to play Champion's League football in a team built around him where he is improving constantly.

Mourinho has usually spent his first season making his teams defensively strong and hard to beat. This is followed by a strong league title challenge in the 2nd season with a fast counter attacking style added to the defensive system and work rate instilled in wide players and strikers.

Think that 2nd season would be the perfect time to bring Mkhi in on a free transfer, allowing the 42m or whatever fee that's aside for his transfer to be added to the funds budgeted to rebuild the centre of our midfield this season.

ammm.... what... do you think Manchester United was formed in 2013.

we have been playing fantastic football for years which is one of the reasons why we are one of the most supported club sides in the world. Moyes and LVG had us playing crap, we are trying to fix that back. we certainly don't dream of doing something we are quite used to doing

Our team is currently very young, so time will tell which players will become superstars and who won't. There's plenty of players that other top clubs would want in their ranks though, to say otherwise is foolish.
