Neither do I. It's just the evidence pointing toward Ed's plan of a Hollywood signing for long term transit Rooney's commercial value to the next shiny poster boy. Not ITK so have no idea who though.
 
If they are willing to sell for 40m EUR then I think that is a fair price for an established player who was voted POTY in Bundesliga, playing for a club that does not need to sell.

Agreed. A little steep with a year remaining on his contract, but still less than what he'd be worth if he had a longer deal.

Good too know Sampy, how did the tournament go?. Did he suddenly drop the bomb out of nowhere or did you ask about the deal?

Yep, we should not concern ourselves too much with his current contract because we are not in a situation where we can afford to wait for a year and get him for free. We should look at the alternative cost of recruiting someone else with similar qualities. And that will probably exceed 40m EUR.

Bild are tonight reporting that we have made a new €36m bid. Dortmund find that figure more acceptable and negotiations have started. Also they have begun to look for replacements.
Looks like the player is getting his wish.

I was just talking and he mentioned that he was involved with Dortmund and I mentioned being a united fan. Talked about the respect United still have around Europe and how they are a great club to work with, I asked him about Mhkitaryan and he said it's a done deal. Now I don't know if this means signed, sealed delivered or as good as done. But he believes he will be joining. They have massive hopes for dembele and mentioned that they're philosophy (hate that word) is to buy the young up and coming talent for reasonable prices and develop them and make a huge profit, it's how they recovered from the troubles they had. Really interesting and impressive how they think!
