He's got a year left. Would you rather we went in with £30m straight off?

Nope. But let's face it, we're going to have to pay around that, lowballing them is just going to make them determined not to sell at a low price. If we keep messing around too long then it's very possible another club will swoop.

Because Perreira got feck all chances under LvG and i think he deserves it.

Why should we risk another season on youth? I want Perreira to get chances, but putting too much faith in players like him is a gamble we shouldn't be taking at the moment, and thankfully we won't.

Memphis and Januzaj on the wings, Perreira in the middle, Wilson up front. Manchester Youthnited. Philosophy.

No one just deserves to be a starter for United, we don't see Pereira in training either so we are going off some good performances in the U21's. Our team really needs some proven quality which is exactly what Mkhitaryan is.

No, but then again nobody is a guaranteed success.
With same logic: We shouldn't sign Perreira in the first place, and stick with our local British talents. I bet many British talent were turned down by United academy scout because of foreign Perreira. Yet nobody guarantee success

Reckon Dortmund would sell if we offered £40mill or something. Not sure if that's too much for him though.

Why have people become so obsessed with giving youth players a chance on the cafe lately?

If they play well, they'll have a chance. If not, tough luck.

That would be insane on our part. I'm not sure he's worth 40m alone, let alone with a year left on his contract.

He was pretty poor the previous season.

I can literally think of no reasons not to sign one of the best players in Europe, especially at a relatively cheap price, just because we have a youth player that might make it. That train of thought is ridiculous imho.

I really hope he comes here just so I can watch Merson fumble and stutter as he tries to pronounce his name and all the 'lads' in the studio laugh at him.

He gets better by the day the longer we're linked with him..

I'm judging that both off the amount of games I've watched him in, and off the fact that he's been one of the standout players in the Bundesliga (over the majority of the Bayern squad!), and for me, that does qualify him as one of the best in Europe.

Of course this is all purely subjective and my opinion, so feel free to disagree :)

Same could be said about Firmino the season before.

I don't know how Mourinho plans to use a player like Mkhitaryan along with Ibra. Both primarily prefer to occupy similar areas. While one thrives in transition from defense to attack, the other likes to play as the focal point of the entire attack in a more possession based system.

We need quick players that can use Ibra as a focal point to collect the ball in dangerous areas and take people on and beat them. Players like Bale or Mane. Mkhitaryan IMO just doesn't fit the profile of the kind of player we badly need.

He deserves it? How the hell you know and what the feck he did (what we could see ) to deserve it. Making mini games during U21 game doesnt count.

youth player = 1 good game every 10 games.
top player = 1 good game every game.

I known which I want.

New United transfer policy: Any player over the age of 24 must be sold. Only sign players who have bathed in the blood on Mancunians

Sounds to me as if Jose has spent the last 6 months lining up some deals and what we are seeing is the fruit of his labor.
Next season we will be kicking premier league ass and repositioning ourselves as not only the team to beat.... But the team to be!
Glory.... Glory.... Man. United!

He is considered to be one of Dortmunds best players. Some say he was even more instrumental for Dortmund than Auba this year. You can really regard him as the brains of the Dortmund team and his numbers this year are pretty self explanatory 23 goals and 32 assits in 53 games all competions considered.

If Auba is regarded as one of the best players in europe than the same can be said about Mkhitaryan. If his contract wouldnt be running down we would have no chance signing this guy on the back of the season he has had.

His best position is even on the right wing which makes him the perfect signing for us. If we can get him for around £30m that would be an absolute steal for us. This kind of player in todays market is prob worth double that.

I really hope we can land him, most exciting transfer we can make imo.

Mkhitaryan is plenty quick and skillfull enough to beat players.

We arent getting Bale and Miki is a far more talented and intelligent player than Mane will ever be.

Miki is a playmaker that can play from the right wing , has more than enough pace and technical skills. I dont see why he couldnt play with someone like Ibra, they would both search and find eachother and Ibra finish off the numerous chances Miki can and will create from the rightside.

I want us to sign him, but we shouldn't be held ransom for a player with 1 year left on his contract. It sets a bad precedent. This is one where we need to set a valuation and not budge from it.

If he's as desperate to join us as his agent says, surely that shouldn't change in a few months when we can sign him on a pre-contract in January.

As far as what's fair for him now. Kagawa was held in similar regard and we only paid 12 million. 25-30 million should be our absolute limit.
