I never cease to be amazed by people seemingly thinking buying players is like grocery shopping.
"How much for your creative midfielder?"
"erm, €40m?"
"OK, you take credit cards?"
Exactly you will use a B.I.C.

Think we might end up paying 30 + 5 add ons.
£24m if I remember correctly.
I mean this is a match made in heaven, our best player ever playing at one of the top clubs in the world. This is our Messi/Ronaldo/Pele, there is no pressure from our end because he can literally do no wrong outside of doing something insane like denying the genocide. Even then that has nothing to do with football. He is just sheltered from abuse both from Dortmund and from the home media. The English media however....
If there was any form of wealth in the country, I'd comfortably say he'd make United a ton of cash in jersey sales. He'd sell 25,000 shirts in Glendale alone.
Cue Woody whatsapp screenshot:
"Hey, Reinhard, what's your IBAN?"
Or texting him:"Hey Reini, do you take Amazon gift Cards?"
Agreed, we should give BVB €30m up front and €5m in add ons and that will definitely seal the deal....its a lot of money for a player in the last year of his contract but he would be worth it to us.
Still sounds like a very good price.
While some posters here would complain about woodie not paying them via his frequent flyer miles.

Time to polish your Google-fu skills! How does one pronounce his name exactly?
Mickey-Tar-yan? Me-tar-yan? Muck-tar-yan?
What makes you think that Mourinho understands transfers but Sir Alex and Wenger don't?
My point was , Mourinho is closer with agents than many of the managers out there. Ferguson hated the agents involvements in transfers , we lost hazard to chelsea because of that. Arsene rarely goes for players with super agents , cause he hates them. They both fail to see that the world has changed and having a agent as an ally is really important for a top tier clubs. Can't blame SAF or Arsene as they have spent majority of their time managing before these agents started ruling the footballing world. In today's world you could not get around top players without paying agent fees of few million and SAF would have frowned upon that.
LvG would just call him Mike.
Have to agree with this. How many times did Fergie moan about agents in his books. Hopefully with Jose we'll manage to get deals done quicker and more efficiently.
Sir Alex went to his wedding.Fergie also praised Mendes a lot and Mendes was super agent.
Smells like one of those where we dick around with incrementally improved offers, trying to get him on the cheap, it lasts for ages and then Bayern, Chelsea or the like come in, offer the money and buy him in a day or two.
Yeah this has a mild whiff of Pedro about it but that didn't turn out so bad. Won't be devastated to lose out on this one.Smells like one of those where we dick around with incrementally improved offers, trying to get him on the cheap, it lasts for ages and then Bayern, Chelsea or the like come in, offer the money and buy him in a day or two.

He has one year left on his contract.
EUR 25m for a player of his level in the last year of his contract isn't a bad offer to start with tbh.
He only has a year on his contract.
Okay, I don't entirely disagree with all these sentiments, but let me offer another perspective for consideration. It wasn't very long ago, less than a year in fact, when Real Madrid offered us what we thought was a ridiculously low sum for our goalkeeper, whom we considered the best in the world. Madrid's reason for the low-ball offer? You guessed it - De Gea had only 1 year left on his contract. Were we pleased about it? The hell we were! I can remember the insults we rained on Madrid and on Florentino Perez for 'disrespecting' us. We were very happy and were cheering on Woodward for refusing to bend over unless we got Sergio Ramos in return...Its about what he is worth given the circumstances. If he just signed a new contract and we wanted him we'd probably offer double.
I rate Mkhitaryan but De Gea is far more valuable to us than Mkhi is for Dortmund. Another point is that, we double double what Dortmund make as revenue in a year.Okay, I don't entirely disagree with all these sentiments, but let me offer another perspective for consideration. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, let us at least understand the Dortmund fans' frustration and why Watzke is playing hardball with our offer. If we truly want Micki, then we should come up with an offer that Dortmund will not consider insulting. Else, (and this would be my preferred strategy) go for Mahrez right away, and discuss with Micki the possibility of signing a pre-contract with us in January to join us for free in the summer.

The fax machine didn't!We accepted the low offer from Real.
