Wilson, Memphis, Pereira, Januzaj, Young?

Also we've just signed a new defender in Bailly and also have Blind...

I was actually explaining how our attack and defence was thin last season. Wilson was on loan, similarly Janujaz although he and Pereira were not used at all, simialry Young was frozen out. Memphis i did forget, but my point was everybody i talked to and here agreed we were a few players short uptop and at the back.

If "orchestrate" means that he explains united that below 40mio € the bvb doesnt even start talking, than maybe there will be a way. If not, he can rant like he want and we will be laughing about his little "iam the man" shit

Let me tell you what happened when Ibra was at Juventus. Juve were relegated in the Serie B and stripped of league titles because of the Calciopoli scandal something Moratti (Inter owner) had worked very hard to achieve for years. The club was still rich of course and could easily afford (and determined) to keep their best players in the Serie B which was exactly what happened with Del Piero and Buffon. Even if they had to sell Ibra they wouldn't sell him to Inter (ok Dortmund don't mind being Bayern's female dogs but Juventus do care for these sort of thing). I mean it would be like Liverpool getting relegated and they sell Gerrard in his prime to us.

One fine day Ibra went on the media thrashing the club and calling it all sort of things and threatening to take legal action against the club. This made it impossible for the club to keep him. Mino took what he wanted and Ibra signed with Inter

Legally wise Dortmund can stick to their contract and keep this dude there for another season. However is it really worth the hassle? You would burn bridges with one of the most powerful and vindictive agents in football history (probably two as I suspect Mendes is also involved) + you would show the middle finger to a great manager (Mou) and to a great club (Man United) who was always nice with you by buying that Championship level player for good money, sold it back to you on a discount and loaning you Januzaj. I'd say if you get a decent fee then you should sell. 30-40m euros aren't that bad for a 27 year old in his last year of contract

Raiola's such a dick to take this public. No surprise SAF could never get along with him.

Stop it now, your repeated drivel about how you understand the mindset of Raiola/ed woodward & how dortmund hold all the aces up their sleeves despite the player who is on a single year of contract and is publically pushing for a move, is getting tiresome and boring. You my friend are very deluded, be ready to eat a big piece of humble pie soon, because this is going to end in only one way, which it always does in this situation.

After Mkhitaryan becomes a United player come August, Dortmund can go back to being Bayern Munich's little feeder biatch, which the club management and fans seem to be happy and content with.

If anything it's just refreshing to know that even without the lure of the CL and our fall from grace the past few years, top players are still super eager to join us.

Of course they are, BVB is a feeder little club to Bayern. United is one of the top 4 clubs in the world in terms of Revenue and Prestige. There is no competition.

Being a dick (ie putting his player's interest first) is why he's such a great agent. The things this guy did are out of this world. He actually moved a United youth with nearly nil first team football experience to Juventus first team in just a couple of months. Ibra was able to play with all the top clubs he wanted including the big three in Italy.

Players aren't stupid and the top ones want to be represented by the top agents. If we don't work with these people then we wont have access to the top players

I remember watching this Feyenoord match a couple of years ago where a Raiola player wanted to take a penalty. He wasn't the regular taker, so Koeman (Feyenoord coach at that time) shouted from the stands that someone else had to take the spot kick. A day later Raiola had commented to every news outlet in the country that if Koeman would embarras his player again like that, he would bring him to another club instantly.

This type of behaviour by Raiola over the years gives the Pogba transfer to Juve a lot of context for me. If a player follows Raiola's word, there really isn't much you can do as a coach or club, even if you're Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United.

Ironically the Feyenoord player who wanted to take a penalty, Vilhena, broke with Raiola soon after those comments, because he had not even asked Raiola to defend him in public and wasn't interested at all in switching clubs or getting into trouble with Koeman at that time. But it just shows what Raiola is like.

The CL thing has always been overhyped because it the perfect excuse for a good player to explain why he wants to leave a smaller club so gets used all the time by players like Lukaku.

Players will always sign for the big clubs and more importantly, the big wages!

I reckon they will manage to squeeze us for 40m Euros. But he will transfer this summer. If Mourinho wants a player we won't let a difference of 5-10m Euros stop us. If the player is deemed vital for a title challenge we value that a helluva'lot more than the relatively small fee.

What gets me excited more, is that with this and Zlatan looking likely, Pogba this summer could very much be on.

This agent is a right tosser though.

For those three players we can get in bed with Kim Jong-Un for all I care.

Sounds good as long as we don't hijack Balotelli. Not that Zlatan would approve anyway...

Zlatan:
“Balotelli, that bastard – in one of the last matches, he got the ball in the penalty area, and I came running. I was completely open. I had a perfect position. But Balotelli just kept dribbling, and I gave him a look. What are you doing? Aren’t you going to help me?”

The Mourinho effect:drool:

What the hell. It's not like Raiola's Client list (Zlatan, Lukaku, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Matuidi afaik) is the who is who of world football and I doubt that a club like Dortmund would even want to do future deals with someone who doesn't respect contracts.

You give the impression that the football world is this great place of friendship where people are doing each other favours. When I guess the reality is much more sober, because everyone is just looking out to get the best for himself (his club) anyway. So if Dortmund decide to keep Mkhitaryan because the offers aren't satisfying I assume that Mourinho/Mendes/Woody won't cancel their facebook friendship but see it as a business decision.

Can see him coming. Sterling also made the same noises at Pool and they cashed in.

The more Dortmund dig their heels, the more we will have to pay.

I don't care how much he costs though - great player. And Dortmund are exactly going to challenge for the big trophies anytime soon so you can't blame the lad wanting out.

Cannot see Dortmund budging on this one having already lost Gundogan and Hummels. Somewhat surprisingly we are involved in yet another drawn out transfer saga where it looks like we don't get our target. I was hoping that nonsense like this was done with now and Mourinho would exert his influence on Woodward but if a club refuses to sell there is nothing can be done.

Guys, you should really watch this

It's from tha match he played last month. I know, it's a friendly and shit opposition, but... I can't remember when I've seen such a dominant performance from a player.

Just... wow!

But they've let two of their best players leave this summer. Letting another one go would be madness, IMO. They won't do it. He'd better settle in for another year.
They won't let go of 30mil or so, doesn't make sense given thir financial position. Us being the 3rd in lime just means we'll overpay.

Seems a bit coincidental that his agent is Raoila (sp?)

Maybe letting him use us to create a bidding war, or a bumper new deal, is a way to help with negotiations for Zlatan or an audacious Pogba attempt.

If this is true, and not just an agent talking up his price or getting him a better contract, i love it.
Players who want to play for us, is what we need.

Well you're wrong. Football is all about connections. That's why managers take their staff around, clubs tend to loan players to a club with a manager they trust only to pull them out when that person get sacked (ex Man United with Petersbrough) etc. If Mino has an option to sell a player to a club whom he can easily deal with or a club who made his life miserable then I assure you he would sell him to the former. He is that type of person.

Our former manager wanted to stay away from super agents and the result was that we ended up with having players like Young and Valencia on the flanks and Cleverley and Ando in midfield.

If they say no to 40m euros for a player that will sign a pre-contract with us in January and leave for free next summer then they are too stubborn for their own good. They have already purchased two huge talents that plays in his position for a combined fee lower than 40m ffs.

With the additional 40m they will no doubt get another quality player or two. As opposed to having a demotivated Micky there for another 12 months.

I don't know/remember if Lewa's agent came out in the summer before he left, explicitly repeating his client's desire to leave. Safe to say, Raiola won't just accept it and it will drag and may become acrimonious. Let's see how stubborn Dortmund remain. Somewhere between 30-35M Euros should be good deal for everyone imo as we are in June and Dortmund will have time to reinvest that money into a replacement.

I think Dortmund don't care. If they want Mkhitaryan to stay one more season, he have to.

Agreed, I think they've been awfully clear in recent years which players they are willing to sell and which players are staying put. They haven't played games.

Considering he is a player with one year left on his contract I don't see how this is our fault! It's not like he has a 5 year deal. They are only refusing because it's us with a lot of big clubs ego tripping because despite poor season we are still more an attractive club to play for. Not our fault. You didn't see Torino being stubborn they sell players all the time too.

From the comments of the player he will be here by the time the window is shut and middle finger to Dortmund too.

This one is happening. Raiola is a cnut and i would be surprised if Dortmund hold out. They wouldnt sell him to Bayern, but we seem to have a good relationship with them and lets hope we make a good offer, where both parties would be kind of happy.

Sorry wasn't saying it is, we seemed to have been dragged in to this one against our will really. We merely declare an interest or make a bid and Dortmund go public with their usual carry on.

Managers take their staff around because it's a team of their choosing who they are used to work with, not sure what this has to do with agents.

I've rarely seen loan canceled mid season because a manager got fired.

If Raiola doesn't respect contracts then Dortmund won't be trying to sign any of his players in the future, because why invest money and time into someone when you have to expect him to force his way out after his first good season?

United's problems don't stem from "super agents". Those guys don't make up for bad scouting.

And besides, have you actually looked at Raiola's client list?
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mino-raiola/beraterfirma/berater/28 how can a club survive without access to these elite players?
