Copa America 2015 | Tournament over, Eboue misses the final, everyone lols

No, you also lost the very first Copa played in Argentina. To us, of course.

1916-1987-2011

In the meantime, Uruguay never even lost a home game in the Copa, let alone a tourno.

Uruguay 3 - Argentina 0 ;)

@Snow

this goes to the ones that think that to win a copa america should be a piece of cake for argentina or brazil

in fact neither pele, nor maradona ever won it

Josema you fecking beauty!!!!!

That's your next commanding CB right there... he was spectacular for Atléti as well, ousting Miranda as a starter. You guys have managed a decent assembly line in recent years. Lugano, Godín, (Coates who was brilliant in Copa '11), now Giménez.

Pelé was the top scorer of the 1959 edition in Argentina though, where Brazil finished runners-up to you guys. Maradona indeed quite underwhelming mostly.

Di María again with a fortunate assist, there is no way that wasn't meant for Messi's run

There's too many of them for it to always be coincidental. :p There isn't.

Maybe, maybe not. Take a look at Suárez' assists this season... he made 21 by Opta criteria, but like 6 or 7 of them are fortunate bounces, deflections, miscontrols by him that fell into Neymar or Messi's path.

Why is our new player not playing? Pls don't tell me he is injured ...

Oh no I was just messing. White text.

Another good chance for Higuain there.

Not sure if it's good or bad having Di Maria playing another summer tournament -- part of me thinks the rest might have been valuable for him, the other part thinks he could do with regaining his confidence. He's playing well.

Messi probably scores that for Barça, really shows how he's a confidence-finisher... and it's clear to see there's less of that (confidence) for the NT than for club, for whatever reason.

Jamaicans so concerned with covering Messi that Di Maria runs the length of the pitch in a straight line and ends up 1 on 1 with the keeper

Di Maria close with a counter from a corner. Blitzing speed but should have done better wth the finish.
