Very surprised he didn’t get sent of. Needs to keep his cool. Captains should be showing example to the rest of the team. He isn’t

Completely agree.

Great goal.

Stupid, stupid yellow.

He actually looked much calmer and composed.
Amorim is good influence on him, Bruno was proper captain today!
Also criminal from this pathetic joke of a referee to show him yellow, after Jesus blatantly fouled him from behind!

You don’t agree that he shouldn’t be screaming every game and getting a needless yellow which means he’s treading a thin line all game?

I don’t agree with your post. Why was he lucky not to be sent off?! Really strange take.

The only disciplinary luck he experienced today was bad luck when he got booked for protesting one of the worst refereeing decisions you’ll ever see.

Scoring, running himself into the ground, showing he cares, selfless. I’d say it’s a pretty good example to other players.

I’m not saying he should have been. I’m saying I’m surprised he wasn’t after picking up a yellow early on. We all know he loses his head quite quickly

Think he epitomises United’s coverage in the media. When he’s sub par it’s blown way over the top and yet when he puts in displays like today and Liverpool nobody seems to mention it.

Ye all that’s good but would you be saying them things if he got a 2nd yellow for a challenge after the way he received the first one?

I am so sick of this idea of trashing him for arguing with the refs. It's a huge game and he got clearly taken out on a big chance. How can anyone expect him to take that nicely. Add to that the fact that week in week out he gets kicked around without getting any fouls

Really good performance, how he keeps running week after week is impressive. Such a beautifully taken goal as well. Shame about the nonsense for the yellow but let him off this time.

Did you think he was very good today?
Ye he was. He was against Liverpool too. Just saying some of the antics are not needed and not worth picking up a yellow which means he’s can’t make a challenge all game

Any doubt about him as the leader from any poster should now be put to bed. Absolutely class, led by example, desire and work rate was phenomenal

To be fair, I feel like our entire team was lucky to not be sent off. All of them had the audacity to challenge for the ball throughout the game, which was apparently a huge no-no for the chap reffing.

He’s also the captain. Literally the only player on our team who is allowed to talk to the referee. If he doesn’t complain then nobody else will. And it was a shocking performance by the ref.

So mental - yet predictable - that some fans use that as a reason to have a go at Bruno.

But he didn't. Players have to be allowed to get yellow cards. Part of the game if you play with aggression. Which we all want.

How is anyone complaining about Bruno tonight?

Bruno sees it most how unfairly United and him are treated. There was another foul on him on the touchline that normally gets given but it's play on of course.

He controlled himself well on a yellow. I would expect most captains to be livid in that game. I’d rather they all show some fight than act passively.

We have been rubbish this season but I have also never seen a season where so many decisions are unfairly given against us and not balanced out.

I'm pleased he makes a bit of a fuss.

Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, speaking to BBC One: "Obviously the circumstances of the game we played with one less we suffered a lot but we sacrificed a lot as a team and at the end you get this

On Altay Bayindir's performance: "It's a big moment for him, the first penalty and another save here and we are really happy for him. It's tough to be second goalkeeper, he came here to play, whenever he gets his chance he's top class for us, he's top class in training, he's always available for everyone and he truly deserves this moment.

"I know we want to celebrate and everything but our focus is now Southampton, that is when we have to back it up. The big games against Liverpool, Arsenal, everyone steps up because it's a big game. You want to be in these kinds of games, you want to be involved, you want to be the best but we have to do it in Old Trafford with these fans again. We have to give it back for the club. We need to do it every week, every game

After that performance from Bruno I did wonder what would be used as 'evidence' against Bruno today on the CAF.

Crazy that the yellow card is being talked about, with no mention of how Bruno managed to navigate Andy Madley's desperation to card us more after that. Especially when he needed to help us keep Arsenal out for an hour with 10 men.

But I guess Bruno is the problem...

He is our most influential player by far. I feel like that needs to change for us to kick on. However, until then he is indispensable. He did excellently today.

So you're criticizing him for having the hypothetical possibility of getting sent off even though he didn't gave the ref any reason to? If that's the threshold you can start criticizing him even before the (farcical by the way) yellow, what if he gets two and gets sent off?
