That is the sort of performance where that teams players will come off the pitch and feel like they've just been exposed to levels. He was too good for that level of opposition in that second half.

Bruno always plays better when Eriksen is on the pitch. It's like he knows he doesn't have to be chief creator and can just concentrate on doing the right things.

Always liked him better playing deeper, really think his future is at the 2 CMs. Paired with Ugarte in tough games and with a more expansive player in games we are going to dominate the ball. He has a lot more options ahead of him and he understands he needs to tone down his erraticness.

Just love how he oozes class in games like these. Looks so casual and relaxed, like he is a top level player playing a game against semi pros.

Its also because Christian and Bruno understand each other and read the game in a similar way. When Eriksen is there Bruno always has a passing option and vice versa. Those two and Amad make our team work. Finding a younger Eriksen profile is vital.

Very good performance, the difference he makes deeper is that he still is always looking for the through ball, yet he doesn't force it anymore.

He put Garnacho / Dalot through a few times, where if we play other CM's there, they dont look for that pass.

Really assured short passing too, I really hope we win something big with him in the team.

Yep, it was vital the moment EtH's first season ended. How the feck we signed Mount as our midfield signing I'll never know.

Yes, there were several runs in behind last night from Hojlund, Mainoo and Amad to name a few who were frustrated with no pass coming from other players. That is the difference Bruno brings, he will see it and try it in a split second. It was why, for me, he was a revelation when he arrived because we had been used to Lingard and Perreira constantly playing short, safe passes.

Which is why I dont understand when fans moan about Bruno. Yes, some of those passes will be mis hit or go astray but more often than not they are good and he has an ability to play a special pass too.

Might go under the radar but the last freekick where Casemiro should score, is a very delicate freekick.

Its because fans want to see 90% pass accuracy, is probably one of the easiest things to do, but it means the team is not progressing. Why is it that CB's and DM's generally have the highest pass %? Because most passes they make are side and back.

Bruno thrives when he has runners to hit. There will be a massive uptake in his game when we have proper wingbacks on both flanks and a striker who can create space for others consistently with their movement. What was very encouraging as a glimpse into the future was how Bruno came to the fore when we started playing quick, one-touch pass and move football. That is the essence of Amorim’s football and the bar for sides in his image is decisive, clean football. Bruno is adept at finding the initial pockets of space to play in so the more movement from others, the more probing he’ll become. Next season will be a big one for him.
