Why do you think things have become unstable again? I’ll give you a clue, it begins with Br and ends in exit
Loose the vote... Deselect MP's... Smash Corbyn in pmq's have saj give away billions in the spending review then call an election vote... And all back to the bullingdon club for pimms on FridaySo he is not saying anything that he hasn't said already.
Seems I was right earlier on; they know they don't have the numbers to block incoming legislation despite Cummings machinations. Wonder who pulled the plug on Boris appointing 100 new lords or blocking royal assent.
@golden_blunder Isn't there some sort of threadban you guys can use to stop trolls like this [wensley] messing with decent threads?
I wouldn't be shocked if Boris called an election vote to outflank any no confidence motion
Call the election for 24th October and fight it on leave / remain
I think with the prorouging basically he only has to see this week out and then any no confidence motion would take place too late for an election this side of 31st
Basically it needs to be called Tuesday or Wednesday I think
starting to look more likely as the day goes on
What the feck does that mean then?
That it'll need to be a VONC but we knew that because he wants a GE. He just doesn't want to call it.
A VONC doesn’t lead to an election. There’s a 2 week period where different groups can try to form a GNU and win a confidence vote. That could lead to him losing control of the levers of power and control of the timetable. If he calls for a GE he still remains in control of everything until he gets voted out.
Not sure what your on about. It sounded pretty different for meSo he is not saying anything that he hasn't said already.
Didn't Farage say or imply that if we revoke Brexit the racists would riot? The Irish issue, it's basically because knobheads on both sides will start blowing each other up, isn't it? It's what it all boils down to.
A number of people on the remain side have said as much, that it risks a return to the troubles.
PSNI chief is in the papers today saying the same, that we must not upset the terrorists in case they decide to kick off.
Incidents have ramped up since talk of a hard border - it’s silly to dismiss the border issue and those “knobhead terrorists”.The bit where Brexit wasn't even a thing between 2009 and 2016.
And Brexit being the excuse or reason for everything simply doesn't stand up to scrutiny. It's a cop out, nothing more, nothing less.
Then bring out the water cannons like every other country does and give them a good washDidn't Farage say or imply that if we revoke Brexit the racists would riot?

Do you think there are numbers to be able to form a GNU?
Anyone but Corbyn I think there perhaps could be, but he's so divisive and toxic I just don't see how it is possible

Have they? Looking back through the timeline its been fairly consistent.
Also, what if, Ireland reunites but the Loyalist terror groups start their attacks again, do we keep Ireland separate because the terrorists are at it again?
You do realize loads of stuff happens that isn’t reported nationally?
Ireland won’t reunite in my lifetime
Well aware. Almost nothing is reported in the British press. Its a case of see no, hear no from outside.
And I am not saying it will, but a case of what if. My fear is that if we don't do something due to the threat of violence which didnt really go away in the first place, we set ourselves up for more problems in the future, possibly regarding a future United Ireland.
If you were a loyalist, and had seen how the mere threat of your rivals kicking off prevented Brexit, well you aren't going to go peacefully into uniting Ireland are you?
Boris bought some, but we're not allowed to use them. Then bring out the water cannons like every other country does and give them a good wash
So, if we no deal we get trouble and a fecked economy and if we revoke we get trouble and a decent economy. I'll go for revoke thanksDo you always take notice of what this chancer says?
But yes, he said something about getting his rifle.

Yeah, I definitely can't see Corbyn having to stand aside for some welfare bill abstaining no mark ever being used in any future election campaigning. He should definitely do it.Why would Corbyn insist on leading a GNU and risk appearing to be the caricature of a power hungry Marxist the Tories paint him as? I mean unless he is just that. What’s the win for him there?
He can simply accept ******* Harman being the temporary leader, with a simple mandate to ask the EU for an extension and going to a GE immediately after that’s signed. He still gets the GE he wants and he doesn’t come across as the guy who wants to get into #10 whatever the cost without the consent of the people.
He can actually claim the moral high ground while having a puppet of his in #10 from whom he could withdraw support and bring down immediately if he wished.
That's a bit disingenuous. Ireland will only re-unify if the people vote for it.
Which obviously becomes far more likely should border checks be re-established.
.... and in those circumstances we should just ignore them, plough on and not find a solution that goes some way satisfying them?Of course, but its highly unlikely the vote will be 100% to zero in favour, so some people are going to be very unhappy and do what they deem necessary to prevent a United Ireland.
Good grief...the most obvious shysters in political history are putting on their medicine show, and yet people are terrified of Corbyn.
Fair enough. He is a commie, they eat babies.
You think loyalists want a return to a hard border in NI?
Also, no ones blaming everything on Brexit, its a significant factor in the NI political landscape, which is delicate at the best of times. Lump in factors like the North actually voting remain and having been devoid of the NI assembly and you start seeing a better picture of why there's so much concern.

Farage: Johnson is making an historical mistake
EPACopyright: EPA
The prime minister is making "a historical mistake", says the Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage speaking on LBC Radio.
He says Boris Johnson "wants Mrs May's withdrawal agreement, but minus the backstop".
That, Mr Farage argues, will lead to acrimony "because we will have given the whip hand in all future negotiations to Brussels".
I think it's more they see him as an incompetent fektardGood grief...the most obvious shysters in political history are putting on their medicine show, and yet people are terrified of Corbyn.
So I guess they prefer thieves then.I think it's more they see him as an incompetent fektard
