Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

This is embarrassing for someone who has previously defending meeting certain people/groups by saying you have to meet people you disagree with and only earlier today was asking if May was finally prepared to compromise to get through this crisis.

I'm really liking the SNP and particularly Ian Blackford. I know they have their own longer-term agenda, but on Brexit they've been spot-on.

From the little I know, they seem to be a decent party. If I could I would vote for them.

Yes!

Don't worry, Chuka won't be in a party again by the time his next round of media appearances comes around. Wouldn't want to have to answer questions on policies or donors.

Fiddling while Rome burns. He's no better than Rees-Mogg.

Was the cleaner allowed to stay in the room?
So the appropriate response was to walk out? Weird he didn't do that with Hamas or the IRA but Chuka Umuna is clearly a step too far with 9 days to sort out this absolute shit show.

'Unfortunately as the house repeatedly voted down my amazing deal time and time again we weren't able to carry out the will of the British older generation. Please don't blame me for never changing the same shitty deal I kept bringing back, blame them for not accepting garbage. And don't blame my party for spearheading the biggest legal undertaking in our history without a plan to begin with, that's definitely a sensible thing to do, instead focus on Corbyn being friends with terrorists who will eat your children with a side of curvy EU bananas.'

I said a lie. Not an accurate narrative of what is happening nd May's blame game

Does anyone know which Chuka turned up? The one who didn't want Labour to back a second referendum, the one who does want a second referendum or the one who wanted to end Freedom of Movement?

Presumably he was invited to offend Corbyn so May could blame Labour for the talks breaking down when she only wanted to discuss her own deal.

I don't actually disagree with his sentiment, I don't see what business Chuka has attending a meeting for House of Commons party leaders; TIG isn't a party. But how is Corbyn walking out of the meeting providing effective leadership for his own party? He's not going to get another opportunity.

And the idiots on here are falling for it.

The Sun could blame Corbyn for the Vietnam war and half the posters here would buy it.

Nonsense. He's played a blinder. As always.

Regardless, he shouldn't just walk out and take the bait.

How does Corbyn walking out help matters though? I don't really understand why Umuna was there, as That'sHernandez points out TIG aren't even a party yet, but he's played in to May's hands and actually contributed nothing helpful.

Yep, because that is the important question when we're living through what Corbyn described as a national crisis this morning...

Presumably that wasn't the Corbyn that turned up for the meeting, the one who said we should activate Article 50 the day after the referendum was there in his place.

Yep. It was clearly a very serious meeting involving party leaders...and some bloke cosplaying as one in secret where nobody can ask who is funding the Goof Troop.

Of course it was a serious meeting. The only person who didn't take it seriously is Jeremy Corbyn. Brexit is a decision that is going to affect the country for the next 30 years at least; Jeremy might not be around long enough to see the totality of the damage it causes but the rest of us will, if he can't swallow his pride to try and do what's best for the country, he shouldn't be the leader of the opposition.

What absolute moron, can't stand the cnut.
He didn't call the referendum. He didn't lead the country into a series of negotiations that were "let's spend 2 years arguing over what the Tories want, then go to the EU to get it at the last minute", he's not the one holding parliament to random for a dead deal. But yeah, let's insult and blame him.
