I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by Bayindir and a lot of people are going to be surprised that people are surprised. Hes a bang average keeper at best. People have watched him play in a few games and not concede a howler and think that equals a decent keeper. Hes not. Hes sketchy.

Martinez is another keeper turned to shit and he's not alone. Chelsea keeper also yesterday and question marks over the Arsenal keeper at times this season. Quality of keepers really poor currently....

In the first five minutes of the match, he gave the ball away four or five times by simply hoofing it. I understand we can’t play put from the back all the time, but hoofing it at our lone striker who’s incapable of winning duels is just moronic - especially, since our keeper was brought in due to his passing ability. I can’t tell if it’s down to the coach’s instructions or Onana’s own decision making but it needs to stop.
Did what was asked of him tonight but his distribution is dubious. As for the Collyer clearance, Onana needs to react more quickly even if on that occasion he would have had no chance to make the save.
Never has a United goalkeeper gave me a feeling of such little confidence or presence.
Didn't have much to do. Distribution is crap. Going long to Hojlund, you might as well be kicking the ball into a black hole.
I don't think he's good enough but in terms of players who need replacing he's probably not even in the top 10 right now.

Disagree. It's so important to have a keeper that instills confidence and trust with a back four. We're going nowhere unless we have one no matter who we sign this summer.
I thought we could do with him next season as well but his performance vs Brighton really pissed me off. Doesn't come out to collect the ball for 2nd goal and then purely his fault for 3rd one. I'd replace Onana this summer if we can sell him for decent fee and then get someone better.

He has too many flaws. My biggest hate of his is the way he boots it long every time, needlessly giving the ball away. The only real reason why we bought him was for his ability to play the ball well with his feet, which he isn't doing. So, he's shite with both his hands AND his feet.

Defended him a lot over the last yer and a half, and he's clearly not really at fault for either goal, but he will not be a keeper that leads a united team to glory. He's always got an error in him. Having said that, as Carragher pointed out on tv, the overall quality of keepers is so in the prem so who knows.

So many times, even under Ten Hag, when we had one ore two good results or a chance to do okay, he makes a mistake any average goalkeeper would never do.
