Feels very much jumping before he's pushed
It's better for the club he asks to leave. His value would stay higher compared to if United came out and wanted to sell.Feels very much jumping before he's pushed
I don't think it will be Ineos priority (fingers crossed I still think this in 2 hours) but there's no harm going for a young keeper the club genuinely thinks could be top level now - it's almost pointless having Bayindir from what we've seen, there must be a 20 year odd old keeper with huge upside like Atubola (22 and starts for Freiburg), Restes (19 and starts for Toulouse) - these are random names but they must have something to be starting in good leagues at such young ages. Not just the penalties, he basically saved argentinas World Cup with that save in the dying seconds. Everything seemed to go right for him.
I would have taken him last year in a heartbeat after the World Cup. I haven’t seen him this year and also didn’t realise he was that old.
We need to replace Onana with someone though
Wasn't exactly commanding for the second one either. The 1st goal was right at him and not even that low to the ground
Was it too much to ask for him to sort his feet out and dive to stop the Isak goal? Since we signed him, we condede far too many goals that aren't remotely close to the corner of the goal.

Yeah, really surprised he didn't catch them with 1 hand whilst eating an apple...Wasn't exactly commanding for the second one either.
Worst Keeper in Utd that got 50+ games....I know some don't rate him but behave. You know he's played in a CL final, can't be many keepers that's done that....didn't cost inter and most would argue he played a big part getting them there.
Players are trying to score directly from corners against him….thats like embarrassingly shit
Mediocre keeper but anybody could have told you that. He got signed because he had a decent CL final against City which again is a fecking joke
Strange that he also got in that years CL team of the season since apparently he is mediocre and only had a decent final. Maybe you shouldnt overreact or write your opinion as if it is a fact.
He had a very good year for Inter. Had a difficult start at Manchester United and was pretty horrible in Europe. He was quite a bit better after he returned from Afcon. He started this season very well but right now isnt at his very best. Overall a good goalkeeper, not a world class one but not exactly the first player that needs to be replaced.
Why do people keep repeating this obviously wrong and easily researchable statement? To be beaten by 2 corners in a week
Why do people keep repeating this obviously wrong and easily researchable statement?
I think some are arguing about an Arsenal corner where some thought he should’ve done much better. Others can’t tell the difference between him and Bayindir. Why do people keep repeating this obviously wrong and easily researchable statement?
What’s wrong? Was it like 8 days or some shit rather than a week?
No he conceded one, the other was Bayindir.
I think that he IS at his very best.He started this season very well but right now isnt at his very best. Overall a good goalkeeper, not a world class one but not exactly the first player that needs to be replaced.
What have I missed? I saw one post with no source on the previous page and now a few similar comments to yours?Feels very much jumping before he's pushed
I think that he IS at his very best.
And that's the problem, his very best isn't good enough.
Both keepers were fouled on those direct goals as well. The Arsenal goal, as with other goals we've conceded from set pieces, had a lot to do with how we defend them.I think some are arguing about an Arsenal corner where some thought he should’ve done much better. There's a clip showing 4-5 Arsenal players running from the back post past Maguire to challenge for that corner. We didn't have a good set up to stop them.
Guy clearly bumps into him from behind, making no attempt to play the ball as Onana jumps for the ball. It's an obvious foul.Bayanidir was clearly fouled. Onana was not.
Bayindir was a clear fouls. Unaure about Onana. He’s a big lad, impose himself more. If he loses out, go down and yell at the ref for VAR. that’s unfortunately the name of the game. Both keepers were fouled on those direct goals as well. Guy stood his ground. We may not like it, but there is no buffer zone around a keeper as there is with a player attempting a throw-in or a free kick.
Apologies for the robot commentary. You could maybe argue the guy in front is just standing his ground, the second guy is definitely not though. He just bumps Onana from behind as he jumps.
Are you saying that a player jostling with another player can't foul the keeper? There's nothing illegal about what Ugarte is doing and it doesn't mean the player has to go into Onana like that.Trust me, I wish the goal were disallowed but I have to stick with the reality of what happened on the play. Ugarte pushed the Wolves player into Onana from behind. If a foul had been called there's no chance VAR would have overruled the referee's decision, but VAR was never going to disallow the goal where the keeper's teammate was the cause of the contact into the keeper and the on-field decision of the referee allowed the goal.
The vastly better argument against the referee's decision to allow the goal was the olimpico on Bayanidir, during which time a Spurs player clearly impeded the keeper's ability to raise his left arm, with no United defender anywhere the play (which itself is a criminal offense) to cause the Spurs player to impede the keeper.

https://www.specsavers.co.uk/storesNobody bumps Onana, stop finding excuses for absolute crap goalkeeping.
I agree that it could easily have been a foul, but sometimes those are given and sometimes not. Arguably not a clear and obvious mistake. It was a foul and we have seen them given for less. Just doesn't fit the narrative cause people want rid of him. Whether he is good enough or not, let's stop making shit up to suit.
