That was bad.
He’s just unreliable, even if he can pull off miraculous saves here and there he can just as well cost you the game out of completely nowhere as frequently. You can’t build a successful team on a goalkeeper this erratic.

2023 Onana was back in that 2nd half. Cost us 2 goals, and some idiotic moments too.

It was a horrid game from him today but he’s saved us so many times this season, both from gaining points or saving us from embarrassing scorelines.

Their second goal actually shows his biggest flaw, which is that he moves like an oil tanker. Been good this season but this was peak first season Onana. Proper 1/10 performance with clownish elements to boot.

Didn’t we buy him because he was supposed to be good with his feet? What’s the point of him try to be a sweeper when all he does is pass back 5 yards to the CBs. Ball playing keepers such as Allison & Ederson are able to play dangerous passes into the attackers feet while ours either lumps it or plays it sideways.

Incredibly poor game, but here's hoping it's a one off. He'd been one of maybe 2/3 players to come out of the first half of this season with any credit so far.
Was due a horrow game in what has been otherwise a great season for him. Will be worried if he falls back into feck up territory more regularly.
Hopefully that was a one-off as he was absolutely diabolical today.

Second goal is undoubtedly on him and the crazy stupidity at the end but anyone putting the third goal on him is daft. He's blocked by De Ligt, Wood has out jumped our man and Martinez should have cleared it off the line.

Think he has done well overall for us this season, but today he was awful. Whatever he was trying on their second, the collective shite of their 3rd, nearly cost us with a sloppy pass out the back (not the only one) and then wasted 45 seconds of our own time near then end.

He’s had a good season so far and mistakes can happen to the best of them, but that 2nd goal wasn’t so much a mistake but to me a glaring weakness in his game any shots hard and low close this body always flummox him.
Not going to be too hard on him as he's been great this season and saved us a fair few times, but what the heck were these shenanigans at the end. Pissed me more than the goal itself.
I'm gutted. He's been our best player this season and largely did well in the second half of last season. Figured these brain fart games were behind him and he had turned a corner. Then one comes out of nowhere.
He has those mistakes in him. Can feck up any moment. Not fooled by his form by 10 games or 15 games. Almost cost us at arsenal too making that awful pass when martinelli scored.

Champions league Onana is back
Needs upgrading if we are to ever challenge at the top again. Call me old fashioned but give me a keeper who stops shots, commands his area and brings a calmness to his defence over a keeper who can pass.
He is too comfortable as No1. We need a keeper to at least challenge him. We dont even have enough confidence in our backup keepers to play them in the cups.
