It is harsh to say he did nothing, he was doing a lot of defensive work, unfortunately he has been wank on the ball.
So suddeldy ...he turned from our favorite boy to be the black sheep
I think he just cant play in a midfield 2. Last season he had two of Fellaini/Pogba/Carrick next to him, this meant he had someone behind him to control the tempo and someone in front of him who would attract players. When he used to play as a AMF he still had support from 2 behind him which gave him the freedom to drift around. What has happened to Herrera? My favourite player last season - he hasn't even been up to scratch this year, not ever looking like the player who got 11 assists last season.
The season is early so hopefully he improves.
Not really, not unwarranted is it?The hate he gets here is astonishing.
own up to which caftard written this reply on the tweet above lol "Thank fcuk the spanish cleverley will be off"
Last months scapegoat. The hate he gets here is astonishing.
They will find another, it is like a sport. Some are already planning on which manager they will drive out next. They are on a hattrick, some fancy four in a row.Last months scapegoat.
AS are not reliable are they ?
Yes he has been poor, but some of the comments on here are absolutely disgusting. What is wrong with some people? Just say he is not playing well. It doesn't have to get personal. Maybe I should get bedded in on another thread and get my insults in early, because once he is gone they will pick on someone else to pick to pieces.Herrera has been the caf darling for a long long time, any criticism he get's is justified. He's been poor all season.
Then I hope Griezmann is the answer to our prayers because I am beginning to doubt it. I presume it will mean Mhki or Mata is gone as well? Where is Griezmann going to play, wide or No. 10? I presume it will mean a two man midfield with Pogba dropping back with Matic? Are we going to sign a wide player? A leftback/rightback or both. This team is never going to settle into a rhythm because it gets a large overhaul every year, but it keeps the transfer muppets happy for a couple of month until they decide they don't like someone and want another new toy.I'll be happy to keep him as a sub, but if he wants to leave for Atletico then it can't be helped, sell him to them and use the deal to facilitate getting Griezmann.

I hope he does go to Atletico and has a good time there.

Pretty ridiculous that buying world class players if they are available is considered bad.
We buy badly, mostly average players and that is why the team doesn't "gel" into a "rhythm" while we wait for it. Look at how many players City signed in 2 summers. Didn't take them long to get into "rhythm" because most of them are top quality.
Herrera has been poor this season and if the offer was good I wouldn't be against letting him go, especially if it does lead to a deal for Griezmann or Saul.
Then again, we cannot afford to lose another CM in January so hope it will be done in Summer not beforehand.
Of course it's unwarranted. Not really, not unwarranted is it?
What should his position and task be? I ask this especially since he was one of the best players last season while not coached properly supposedly.he is poor because the team's structure is poor. Go and watch him under Bielsa and watch him now. He is used as some sort of destroyer. Give him to a manager that actually coaches properly;y and he will blossom, not this negative pos Mourinho. The fact that he was being compared to Kante last season says it all really.
