That was the thing for me. I'm fine with him playing either position just to see him on the pitch like yourself, but, at RWB, I'm fine with Maz and potentially Antony there. With the 10 position, though, I don't think we have anyone else who offers the qualities Amad brings there (keeping the ball under pressure and in tight spaces, being able to dribble opposition players, is unselfish in his play and thrives on linking-up with others which naturally elevates his teammates, etc) so, imo, he's needed there more urgently than at RWB.
Like I said to @UnitedRepublic above, I'm with you. I'm fine with him just playing in general but, as things stand, I think he's needed in the 10 spot more for the reasons stated above.
As for next season, I'd be fine with him playing as a RWB but, though you say one, I think we'd need to bring in two to warrant not playing him there. Unless we try Mainoo there or Garnacho adapts to the role.
I think it is essential that we move back to the old, ”no one is bigger than the team/club” thinking. Team comes first. If any player regardless of talent thinks he is worth way more than the club really wants to offer, then well, off you go. We have been trying to keep hold and keep value of our best players with high wages since Fergie left, and it does not work that well.
Amad is a top tier talent for sure, and i am a big fan, would hate to see him go, but if his biggest motivator is money and fame he can go. We need a team full of players that give a proper shit. Not just turning up and play out of their skin as soon as a contract is about to be negoiated.
Lucky for us i don’t think we will have much of a problem with Amad.

He won't get 200k anywhere, except maybe from Saudi clubs.
He is very good talent and player, he is yet to play one proper full season at highest level.
He doesn't like Bruno there because not only is not particularly quick, he's also pretty bad anlt carrying the ball. Wirtz is much better in both regard. Also, Amorim like one of the 10s to be more winger than a 10 and, the other to be the other way around. Nuno Mendes and Wirtz alone and we'll win alot of games.
I’m not particularly keen on Mendes either tbh. I think he’s a brilliant player, but he’s very much a left back. I’m just not a fan of us basically playing defenders on the wing. If our attacking width is going to come from the likes of Dalot and Mazraoui, the quality will be lacking (as demonstrated by Dalot, Mazraoui and Malacia since they have been played as wingers and not defenders).
Mendes vould be the best left back in the world, he’s that good, but he doesn’t have the final third quality to me. If anything, I think he’d be better suited playing Martinez’ position in this formation than wing back.
Saka takes corners though.
I haven't seen to much of Nuno, couple of games here and there, then looked at some of his stats. He seems quite capable going forward. He has pretty decent success in that role as well under Amorim as far as can tell.
He wouldn't have signed a contract then when he wasn't even sure the manager of the club was interested in giving him actual opportunities to play.
If he can improve his finishing, boy, he is going to be deadly.

1) Tell Amad to take 50K/week? Then tell him to feck off by selling him next summer if he cant accept that?
2) Or give him Yoro parity at least?
3) Or somewhere between Yoro and Saka?

115k a week isn't silly money by any means for Elite young talent with full season as starter behind him .

Somehow I'm not worried about his contract neither about Amad signing it nor Ineos giving him too much. I imagine it will be well structured, with wages rising gradually + incentives.
And that should still be a concern at this club, we're just horrifically bad at managing players at this age range.
I'd try and get a release clauses in - £40m any season we miss out on top 4 would be quite reasonable.

And despite the petty smear campaign about Yoro from Spanish newspapers close to Real Madrid claiming that we offered Yoro multiple times of what they did, and that's the only reason he isn't at Madrid right now, taking a look at Madrid's wage bill will quickly reveal that it's bullshit, unless they planned for Yoro to be their lowest or second lowest earning squad member.
Endrick is on €80k per week with him generally not thought to be as valuable of a profile and as big of a prospect as Yoro is in their respective positions.
I can probably say the same for Güler who's on €100k per week.

Madrid were probably going to offer between €80-120k per week to Yoro and we offered £115k (€140k).
I don't really see how we offered silly money, especially when the time for renewal comes in 3-4 years' time, Yoro should be one of the best defenders in the league by then, so it will be the perfect time to bump him up to 200k or more.
I'd imagine he ends up somewhere around the 120-130k mark considering his age and profile. Palmer wages basically.
Big clubs don't do release clauses unless they're obliged to in the case of Spanish teams. Especially not ones that are tied to certain conditions IMO.
United fans are so funny. Why would he take that? He could simply just do another season and get a fat signing on bonus plus the wages he wants elsewhere.
As a reference point - Antony is reportedly on around £200K. Like why would Amad take a contract with a slight pay increase when he’s reportedly on £30K?
Pocket watching like it’s still early 2000s is crazy also. £115K hardly qualifies as “silly money” currently.

People still live in late 90s/early 2000s when it comes to assessing wages, thinking £10k a week is a normal wage for a PL footballer.
I remember being outraged by Trevor Francis' million pounds transfer. But the straw that broke the camels back for me was Roy Keane asking and getting 60k per week.
Since then I no longer cared as long as the club knows how to manage their budgets
I knew he will be some decent player here or somewhere because he had the temperament and composure on the pitch irrespective of how ETH treated him. I didn't expect he will come good here. That Rangers and Sunderland loan spells has been brilliant for him. Kudos to the club and I'm looking forward to dread ANC every two years now. Thank you very much.
