Really happy with his goals today but I think his all around game still has a long way to go. A lot of sloppy touches/passes and I think he's capable of much better than that. Once he develops the chemistry with the team and gets fully fit, his all around game should be great.

He wasn't as good as last week but the goals made up for it. His touch seemed a bit off and there was a few half-arsed passes but the header was top drawer.

Yeah his passing accuracy was only about 65%, so wasting one in three passes.

Even allowing for the fact he's playing advanced, that should be better for a player of his ability.

It will come though and the other facets of his game are fine.

That's the thing with top strikers, even when they don't play well they still score goals!

Did not really wanted him here. Thought the PL would be a league to far.But how wrong i am so far. Not getting carried away though .

He has a great mix in his game - tall, strong but with a great touch. His power in the air for his 2 headed goals so far was awesome. Early days, but OT looks like the perfect stage for him.

I did not want him here not because I don't think he's a great player but I was worried how he'd play with Rooney.

Lots of people writing him off before he came here - criticising the standard of league he was in, suggesting he was too old etc.

Looks superb so far. Still very fit, still has that ability to find space but most noticeable is his strength. Gives a focal point to the attack. So far, so good.

The two headers he has scored are proper striker's goals. No one would have scored those headers for us last season.

His touch and passing was fecking dreadful to be fair, by his own standards.

According to a woman (her name escapes me) who kind of stalkes Zlatan, he wants to be a leader at Utd, and we saw the dynamic between him and Rooney for the penalty last night.
We saw him work hard, trying to win the ball back and giving his all. That's not what he's always like though and he can be very moody when things aren't going well.

So apart from those bits where he won us the game ... he was shit yeah ?

Apart from the goals and putting a chance on a plate for Martial, yeah

Yeah I understand this will be difficult because of the Zlatan worship on here but he was sloppy in possession, a lot of his flicks didn't come off and he nearly cost us a goal. It's great that he's getting goals but I think his overall performance could have been better.
Yeah sounds stupid because he won us the game but he's better than he showed in parts.

I just love how he always seems to knock opposing defenders on their arse

We haven't seen someone like him at United for years. He is such a threat in the air that even if we play shit and rooney - valencia do their usual link up wits heaps of crosses then we will still score.
His overall game wasn't perfect. There was a few bad passes but the passes he did make were very good. His hold up play is brilliant too.

I can understand the point of LvG philosophy now. I don't think Zlatan is an innate bad passer; he just can't be bothered. If other players pick this up half the whole team could end up not caring about their passing and we'll be beat by teams who can pass and score a goal or two. Somehow, Jose has to get this big personality to improve his passing. Discipline + power = invincibility.

Early days and he needs more games etc but i still believe he'd perform, as in general play, better if there was no 10. Give him the space to drop into and have runners all around him in midfield, 4-3-3 all the way. It would also give Pogba more room and the defence could be more stable with a man in front of them. I'm not complaining though, we're playing well and winning matches. I'm just idealistic..

He's a great passer, just give him some time to get into rhythm.

I said the exact same thing yesterday, he had a crap game and basically every other touch he had on the ball meant we lost it or the attack came to a halt. He had a great header and a good pass to Mhiky but that's about it really.. The goals will as always make the rest of his performance completely irrelevant which is a bit unfortunate if you want to talk about his overall game.

I can't wait though until he has a few really good games while continuing to score, people will have to call in sick to work just to find the time to praise the man properly. (including me)

“I believe that we can win the title, I have this vision,” Ibrahimovic said.

“But we need to work hard for it and we will do everything to bother all the other teams that want to win. Now I’m just focusing on trying to help my team win and after two games we have two wins, which is the most important thing."

“Who scores is less important, as long as we are winning. Yes, I’ve scored three goals so far in the Premier League and I’m happy for that but it is only the beginning. The season is long, I will work hard, the team will work hard and slowly we will get better and better so let’s see what the outcome will be."

“The supporters at United are amazing and I have this feeling in every game that I’ve played that they are the 12th player on the field. I’ve played in many countries and many big teams and the supporters here are something else."

One of the things he's made me realise is the importance of having not just good/strong players but strong characters too. Zlatan just eases confidence/arrogance/belief and that's what United is all about. We've lacked characters big time in the last few years and maybe thought good players alone would be enough to keep us going. He'll obviously only be around for a couple of years and obviously Pogba has that self-belief too but trying to think of some more players who are more than just players but have huge personalities too. Sure some will come to mind.

He was really shit in the game against Southampton i'm not going to lie. But he did score the two goals so he made up for it. He played much better vs Bournmouth. I think its more a fitness thing than anything else. Zlatan usually gets into his stride in September when he is churning out good performances.

Cant wait until he, Miki and Pogba are up to their game.

To think I was underwhelmed by this signing

He has been brilliant thus far, and almost faultless. He can be as anonymous as he likes, but if he sticks it in every other game, I certainly won't be complaining.

Personally, I think his playmaking is what can make him a real asset for us. For that to happen, Rooney needs to go and be replaced by Mkhitaryan. I think if that were to happen, we'd see a really fluid attack and Zlatan would probably add 10 assists to the clutch of goals he'll have at the end of the season. The clever movement between Martial, Mkhi and Lingard/Mata, with Pogba rampaging from further behind would be a thing of beauty

Just the words LVG and Philosophy are enough to send a shiver down my spine !!
LVG had the players passing for passing sake masses of sideways , backwards passes with no risk taking , no invention yes lots of possession yes lots of completed passes but no end product , we are now taking more risks and being more inventive and creating threats, as a result more passes will go awry but at least the completed ones will be creating threat rather than being meaningless if I was Jose I wouldn't be getting this " big personality " to improve his passing I would be saying Zlatan go and do what you do best terrify defenders and score goals
