The league has won Zlatan, he is here. Good for league.
That's what I was thinking watching Pogba play today. I love Pogba, but a huge problem with him and one reason he is overrated imo is because he can do a lot, and play well, and look very very good without actually doing all that much. Literally the complete opposite of what Ibra has been doing. If Pogba didn't play today we would have still won 2-0. If Ibra didn't we would not have.Yeah, his play wasn't good. But he won us the game. That is ALL that matters.
I thought he was shit apart from the goals.

Unlucky, I'll make sure it's never forgotten.27 ducking alerts you pricks
I don't want to be remember for this
You've got to be fecking kidding, right? It was a floated ball with little pace on it and he had to get Fonte out of the way.he was set-up well for his header, which was obviously a good one.
Pogba's run is what got Fonte out of the way. Rooneys cross was great(about the only great moment he had), Pogbas run was well timed and Zlatan just murdered it.You've got to be fecking kidding, right? It was a floated ball with little pace on it and he had to get Fonte out of the way.
That goal won us the game cause we didn't concede. The penalty is irrelevant.
Yeah, Pogba distracted him that's true.Pogba's run is what got Fonte out of the way. Rooneys cross was great(about the only great moment he had), Pogbas run was well timed and Zlatan just murdered it.
What a bizarre comment. Look at Iniesta, Modric, Xavi, Busquets etc. They don't win games by scoring goals, but they certainly massively contribute. Pogba actually produces fantastic numbers for a midfielder. What more can you ask for? He was awesome defensively today, and accelerated our attacking play while linking up nicely with our forwards. He was fantastic today, couldn't ask for more. Perhaps if we didn't play him, we wouldn't have had as much control? Like I said, bizarre comment. That's what I was thinking watching Pogba play today. So by that logic, any time a midfielder doesn't play a part in any goal, he's irrelevant. That's what I was thinking watching Pogba play today. Bizarre post.
We should have sacked Scholes too and bought another 5 Andy Coles.
Well thank god for that. I'm not sure what you expect. Zlatan scored two goals and you should look at the reactions when he did in the match day thread. He received plenty of praise. At the same time, Pogba put in a very good midfield performance with just over a week of full training behind him. What do you want people to say when he does something impressive? "Nice move by Pogba but not a goal like Zlatan so let's not praise him for it"That's not what I'm saying! Just in terms of performances it seems people think it's more impressive when Pogba does a flashy move that doesn't lead to anything than when someone like Ibra doesn't have the greatest touches but scores consistently. I can't think of how many "Pogba " posts I saw when he did a simple move, yet people were saying Ibra was shite aside from his goals.
I love having both players and am glad we have both. I don't think Pogba played terribly, but he didn't play amazing. I just think for this specific game Ibra was more important, although the comments don't reflect that.

So apart from those bits where he won us the game ... he was shit yeah ?
I am not saying that's right because I love Zlatan and want him to stay here as long as he likes. But the idea that scoring goals is not enough is not exactly new is it. Fergie thought Ruud was not contributing the fluency of our team despite his ridiculous goalscoring records and thought Saha was better suited to what we had at the time. Basically it's not as black and white as if you score, all is good. This .
One of the sky pundits said that he will often appear to not be in the game but when it counts he finishes. He did his job. Scored two goals and some people still find a problem with him
ffs Falcao is a nice manEven better than Falcao so far
He's only 1 league goal away from matching Falcao's tally I think.Even better than Falcao so far

Why are the media making a point that he has kicked Rooney off penalty duty? Has Rooney been our designated taker since even before RVP got here? I'm pretty sure Mata is the last person to be our regular taker and that Van Gaal has a 'miss and your off' policy.
One thing I noticed is, during his goal celebrations, guys like Pogba, Martial and Blind ran to him in an almost child like manner. These guys are probably young enough to have watched him growing up and it must be surreal for them to play with their idol
