He's our target man. He'll have the occasional quiet game. As long as he's scoring goals regularly and brings the team spirit up, it's all good. He brings something to the table which we haven't had for 3 years. And in terms of arial ability, it's been quite a while since we had someone better.

I'm more worried about the fluidity. Pogba can't do everything by himself, and Martial and Rashford are still young. I think Mkhitaryan needs to start now. He and Zlatan could do wonders together.

First half he was very good. Slowed down in the second. Which is to be expected. If Mata didnt take the ball of him he wouldve scored imo.

Not a great performance, but he's still a great target man to have. He wasn't helped by Davies deciding to have the game of his life.

It takes Zlatan until September to fully get into his stride so i have no worries with him and he can have 2 weeks of rest which will surely help.

Although he really was starved of service at times which i feel will be rectified once he starts playing against teams that attack again.

Everyone has to remember that when Suarez played against Chelsea in the 2-0 defeat he was shit as Chelsea parked the bus the whole game. Same here.

Wasnt his best performance. I do think we should be getting the ball to him quicker at times however especially when he has his back to the goal, just pass it to his feet.

2 week break should help him before the derby :)

Wasn't at his best and he looked knackered by about 65 minutes. But this was a bit of a "welcome to England" game for him. Tough CB's scrapping for their lives and some horrible horrible weather. Plenty more of those days to come Zlatan! Keep your chin up lad! Enjoy the sunny English afternoons while you can!

Tell ya what, I don't think he's done that well in the build up play in our games yet, but I can't believe how amazing he is when the ball gets pinged in the box. I didn't think at his age he'd be able to do what he has done so it's brilliant to see.

Yeah, what was Mata thinking. Zlatan was about to pull the trigger when Mata suddenly stole the ball from him and decided to dribble into the box. I'm surprised Zlatan wasn't more annoyed with him.

I'm massively not a fan of the guy, never have been. But he had played well up to yesterday & been a good influence on the team. Glad folk can see he wasn't so good yesterday. Be interesting to see how it goes. I'd say it was quite promising overall, if you can get the movement around him & he definitely 'occupies' defenders cos of sheer size & aerial threat.

Teams trying to push out to keep him out of the box help our other players to make chances when we are on top. Stay deep & we can cross the ball all day with some purpose attached to it.

Offensively, he was decent in the first half but faded toward the end. But he was still very physical in the box.

Defensively in the forward role he did great the whole game. Pressing well in the right zone. Show high intensity in pressing. If anything better than all of his performance so far for us in this regard.

Definately had an off game against Hull despite being good for 30 minutes or so at the beginning. I think he tried to be to fanciful/flambouyant in certain situations. Those things should be reserved for when were comfortably ahead in a game. We just need players running beyond him because he has the vision to pick them out.

It's now a surprise whenever i see him mis-control a pass or screw up a touch. The last player who made me feel that was Ronaldinho

At his worst, probably he will be (or probably is) United's big target man for when the game needs it. It used to be Fellaini only, but now with Ibra, Fellaini, Pogba, Smalling, other teams will have more headaches. Still impresses me with his scoring ability, especially heading. I always thought the old Ibra wouldn't go with his head first (not the bravest with his head), rather his foot based on his past performance videos.

I guess he is maturing like a fine wine.:drool::drool:

Won Eurosport's European Player of the Month. Sadly I can't post links but I thought it was worth mentioning and maybe a full member can post the link.

Supposedly Ibra has scored more goals than Ronaldo in 2016. Suarez and Messi have 38 each, Zlatan with 37 and Ronaldo with 32.

But he's on 400k a week here

Must have been on 600k odd in Paris.
Or he is implying that he didn't recieve his last salary or something. Not sure. Zlatan also tends to make a lot of grammatical errors so it can be difficult to infer what he is saying at times.

......

"I miss my last salary from Paris," Ibrahimovic said, grinning. "That is what I miss."

PSG and United do not confirm players' salaries, but during the transfer window Ibrahimovic was reported to be seeking about £220,000 (€260,000) per week at Old Trafford. In May, ESPN's World Fame 100 estimated his salary at PSG at about €290,000 a week - which would mean he's now making €30,000 a week less.

No mention of his quotes regarding our fans? He's apparently said that out of all the places he's played, our fans have ecplised all of them. Also, that if we have a successful season our fans will have played a big part in it. Very shrewd, almost like he's challenging our fans to turn up on Saturday.

There was a great atmosphere at The Swamp vs Southampton. One of the best in the past few years

That's what I thought as well. But we'll never know.
